Thrilled to announce that the short film The Masterpiece, by Àlex Lora Cercos, won three Winged Seahorses awards at the XI Uşak International Short Film Festival,Istanbul Kadıköy Barış Manço Cultural Centre.

- Best Film Award
- Best Screenplay Award: Alfonso Amador & Lluis Quilez
- Best Acting Award: Babou Cham, Melina Metthews, Adam Norou & Daniel Grao

The Masterpiece, aka La Gran Obra, was premiered and awarded with the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance Film Festival, USA.

The Masterpiece, an original idea of producer Lluis Quilez, is one of the 15 short fiction films aspiring to obtain an Oscar nomination.

This week, it has also been nominated for the Goya Awards and has also won the prestigious Forqué Award, which recognizes the best of Hispanic American cinema.

The Masterpiece is a production by Euphoria Productions in coproduction with Calabaza Films, Filmakers Monkeys and Àlex Lora Cercos.

Manel Aguado is the Cinematographer and Alfonso Amador & Lluis Quilez are the writers.

Melina Metthews, Babou Cham, Adam Norou and Daniel Grao are the stars.

We are thrilled that nine films screened at 2024 and 2023 are on the shortlist.
“Hollywoodgate”, “No Other Land”, “Queendom”, “Soundtrack to a Coup D’Etat”, “Sugarcane”, and “Union” have all been shortlisted in Documentary Feature category; “Incident” and “Until He’s Back” in Documentary Short Category and “The Masterpiece” in Live Action Short category.

P, a coproduction between Greece and Israel, was premiered at Hollywood Oscars and European Film Awards qualifying Tirana International Film Festival, Albania; Drama International Short Film Festival. Greece; and Spark Animation Film Festival, Canada.
