Today, I visited El Festivalet, an amazing fair of independent crafts and design held in the Sant Andreu district of Barcelona. The venue, a beautifully restored old factory now used for cultural events, added so much charm to the experience. It was the last day of the fair, and I went with a friend—it was such a lovely outing!He bought an alpaca scarf and a bio hand cream, and we both couldn’t resist getting something from @pinklobsterstudio. He picked out a super cute cat head hanger, and I treated myself to the most adorable wall-hanging cat decoration that can even hold flowers! 🥰 Honestly, it’s the perfect Christmas gift to myself—I could have bought everything they had! Such lovely products! 🫶✨We also explored the gastronomic stands and ended up buying a cherry and dark chocolate panettone. It was extradelicious! We couldn’t help but dive into it right there, enjoying every bite while chatting about life and all the fun things we’d seen at the fair. Afternoon well spent practicing making thin notebooks with staple bindings! This first try is a little clunky (and fully handmade because I don’t have all the tools yet), but it’s so exciting to see progress. Things I learned:✨ Adjusting cover designs to keep the details.✨ Cutting pages and covers together for cleaner edges.✨ Rounding corners at the end—manual corner rounding is… tricky!I’m definitely investing in a heavy-duty guillotine and corner punch soon to make the process smoother.What do you think? First time calibrating my BenQ monitor, and let me tell you—it was a wild ride! I got the Calibrite Display Pro HL and ran it four or five times until I finally landed on what feels like a decent calibration. Tomorrow’s the big test: printing out some illustrations to see how far off the colors are. Fingers crossed! 🤞The process itself isn’t hard, but the results kept coming out so different each time. No clue why. At one point, I was sure I’d end up with something horrific—crazy high contrast and colors so glowy they’d blind me. Luckily, it didn’t come to that (yet).Do you calibrate your monitor? ✨ DIY Desktop Planner Tutorial! ✨Follow along as I create my cozy winter desktop planners using my brand-new Winter Weekly Pages! Starting with the paper, I lay out two A5-sized pages on one A4 sheet, then print with my Epson Ecotank ET-8550. After printing, it’s time to cut the sheets with a guillotine and prepare both versions of the weekly layout. The last step? Gluing the sheets together with just the right amount of white glue, letting them rest under a little pressure for a perfect finish. The result: two adorable desktop planners to help organize your week in the cutest, coziest way!
