ECHO ECHO is an international student petroleum magazine published annually by SPE Suez University Studen

ECHO magazine is one of the few printed magazines representing SPE students chapters all over 250+ countries. The magazine consists of different sections; Foreword for the Chapter's Chairperson and the Magazine's Editor in Chief, Interviews with some important figures in petroleum industry, New technologies section including articles for new technologies and techniques in petroleum industry, Young

Researchers section including researches introduced by faculty students, Industry threshold section, and finally the Chapter's news section. ECHO magazine was introduced in many international and sub-regional conferences (IPTC 2013 in China, NATC 2012 in Egypt,NATC 2013 in Egypt, East meets west congress in Poland 2013,IPTC 2012 in Thailand, and ADIPEC 2012 Abu Dhabi UAE).

Now we are going to meet the second expert in the new section,Eng. Mostafa Fouad, the Global Director at BGS Energy Services.

- He joined Halliburton, and held several operational and managerial roles in Egypt and internationally.
- He received his BSc in Mining and Petroleum Technologies from Suez Canal University.
- He pursued a Master’s degree in the field of Geophysics and Seismology.

Eng. Fouad highlighted several insightful sides in his talk including his point of view about the future of the oil and gas sector and how it may trend to in the near future and his advice for the students and fresh graduates.

It’s time to announce our new section " Industry Experts " in ECHO 15, We always aim to introduce great value and share the experience from the oil & gas industry

So we will start with the first expert Eng. Kamel Al Sawi, the President of Kuwait Energy Egypt.
- He is the General Manager and Managing Director & Board Member of both Burg Al Arab Petroleum Company and East Abu Sennan Company and Board Member of Petroshahd Joint Ventures Company.
- He holds BSC & MSC in Petroleum Engineering from the Suez Canal University and an Executive master’s in management (EMIM) from Ashridge University and School of Business, London, UK.
Eng. Al Sawi talked about his expectations for the future of the petroleum industry, also his advice to undergraduates to keep up with the ongoing challenges in the job market.

First Interview with Eng. Anastsia Poole is a regional manager digital & integration: Egypt, Sudan & East Med. at SLB

Over last 20 years in Oil & Gas she had a privilege to lived and work all across the globe from Africa and Middle East, to Australia, Europe, Russia and North America.

Her first location with SLB in Egypt where she started with WesternGeco division as a junior field geophysicist or what they called seismic engineer at the time on one of it’s land desert seismic crews. Since then she held number of regional technical and line management roles, supported SLB Geophysical technical community worldwide as Discipline Career Manager, worked on special HR projects.
