The thing about teaching is.....

No matter how deep our knowledge of pedagogy is,

No matter how many degrees we have,

No matter how smart we are,

No matter how many times I say “well done”

No Matter how many books over read it webinars watched,

Or how I have ticked your book, given you stars or even a smiley face,

No matter how many books there are in the library,

Or how many iPads we have,

How many worksheets I’ve prepared,

Or how much I impressed the principal or the parents,

No matter how many posters I put on the wall,

Or charts near the door,

No matter how many training sessions I attend, workshops I enrol in Orr documentaries I watch......

The reality is...

“My students will not learn one thing unless they know that I care about them.”

About the Title
Although Wells did not invent the idea of the time machine
(ancient Buddhist and Hindu myths deal with the subject), he
coined the phrase and popularized the concept. The Time
Machine is one of the earliest and most influential examples
of science fiction. It gave birth to the time travel subgenre that
would inspire dozens of 20th-century writers. Early editions
carried the subtitle An Invention. Although Wells dropped the
subtitle in later editions, it reminds readers of the novel’s central
question: Is the fantastic story a lie or a prophetic vision?

The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, a collection of 12

About the Title
In the fashion of many 19th-century novels that focus on a
single character, the novel is titled simply, David Copperfield,
after its hero. However, the text was first published as The
Personal History, Adventures, Experience, and Observation
of David Copperfield the Younger of Blunderstone Rookery
(Which He Never Meant to be Published on Any Account).
This lengthy title highlights David Copperfield as the subject
and narrator of the text, David’s place in his family and the
setting, and the autobiographical nature of the text; it also
creates an intimacy with the reader who will learn David’s
secrets.
