Max Payne is a third-person shooter video game series developed by Remedy Entertainment and Rockstar Studios. The series follows the story of Max Payne, a former NYPD detective who becomes a vigilante after his wife and child are murdered.

Max Payne:
The first game in the series, Max Payne, follows Max as he investigates the murder of his family and uncovers a conspiracy involving a new drug called Valkyr. Max must battle his way through the criminal underworld of New York City to get to the bottom of the conspiracy and avenge his family.

Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne:

Max has left New York City and is now working as a private security contractor in São Paulo, Brazil. He becomes embroiled in a conspiracy involving a powerful family and a human trafficking ring. Max must once again use his skills to fight his way through the criminal underworld and uncover the truth.
