*Youths felicitated with Load Carrier vehicles in samba under MUMKIN*

_DC calls for mass awareness for making youth 'Atamnirbhar' through self employment_

_13 July, Samba_ ; Deputy Commissioner Samba, Ms Anuradha Gupta today handed over the keys of load carrier vehicles to the unemployed youth of district under MUMKIN scheme of Mission Youth J&K to establish a sustainable livelihood in transport sector.

Assistant Director Employment Samba, Sulakshana Thakur, informed that 120 candidates have been benefitted in Samba district since the launch of this scheme last year, involving subsidy of Rs.87.64 lakh and bank loan of Rs.798.07 lakh.

It is pertinent to mention the MUMKIN scheme is being implemented in the district through the Employment Department.

Briefing about the scheme, AD Employment Samba further told that under MUMKIN scheme, 100 percent financial assistance for purchase of small commercial vehicle is provided to the unemployed youth in age group 18-35 years with 10 percent subsidy from Mission Youth and equal matching share by the dealer. "this year, in addition to the load carrier, passenger vehicles and electric rikshaws have also been added to the list of eligible vehicles under this scheme" added AD Employment.

The candidates desirous of availing benefit of this scheme to earn their livelihood can apply online at www.jk.gov.in/jkeservices or contact District Employment & Counselling Centre Samba.

In today's event 06 candidates were given vehicles keys including Nisha Sharma, Bhanu Partap, Raghubir Chand, Vipan Baloria, Dharamveer Singh, and Hanish Rakwal.

_Block Divas a concrete Step to take governance at doorsteps: DC Samba_

_13 July, Samba;_ Promoting doorstep governance across the district samba, District Administration today held the weekly Public Outreach Programme, Block Divas, at far flung Panchyat Ratwana of Block Ghagwal and addressed locals issues and demands.

Deputy Commissioner Samba Ms Anuradha Gupta while participating in the Block Divas listened to the demands, issues, and aspirations of the local community. The elected representatives also presented their demands regarding the local issues.

Among others issues locals raised concerns on irregular water supply, non maintenance of Power Lines, non funtional tubewell, promotional agricultural and horticulture activities, demarcation of Pond Land, upgradation of School, new bridge in Nichala, besdies other local issues were also raised.

Deputy Commissioner Samba, directed Jal Shakti (PHE) Department to immedietly address the water shortage issue in the area and also directed to press additional water tankers to meet the water requirements. DC also directed PDD and PWD district heads to formulate plans for upgradation of existing infrastructure and creation of new assets and submit its DPR for further course of action.

Addressing the issue of Patwarkhana, DC directed revnue officials to shift their office to nearby location so that it is accessible to locals. DC also assured that demand of upgradation of School will also be forwarded with recommendations to Government.

The Block Divas held at Panchayat witnessed locals from at Ratwana-Surara area and adjoining 29 villages who came in large numbers and expressed gratitude towards Deputy Commissioner for visiting their panchayat inorder to address their issues.

Among others BDC Chairman Vijay Tagotra, DDC Member Suresh Kumar, SDM Ramkesh, ACD Sidharath Dhiman, Sarpanches Madhu Devi, Jasbir Singh, panches, Local prominent persons and others officials were also present.

Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway
DC samba holds land compensation distribution camp at Tapyal.

To make the process of land compensation hassle free and transparent, a special camp for disbursement of land compensation, acquired for Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway, was held here at Tapyal in Ghagwal.

A team of revenue officers led by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ms Anuradha Gupta supervised the exercise of the verification of documents of the land owners at Tapyal village acquired for DAK Expressway.

Block Development Council chairman Ghagwal Vijay Tagotra, DDC Member Suresh Kumar, SDM Ramkesh, alongwith Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildar, other officials besodes land owners were also present on the occasion.

To make the exercise transparent, all the details viz. name of the land owner, quantum of land acquired, amount of compensation assessed were publicly announced.

It was informed that 22 owners/beneficiaries present on the ocassion were identified and verified who were disbursed with the compensation amount directly in their bank accounts.
"5.20 crore Rupees were disbursed among the owners during the land compensation distribution camp, while others left out will be provided duing next camp" informed a official.

A youth awareness programme has been organised by 158 TA Banyari led by Coy Comander (CDR) of company C and held at Baniyari. During the programme they aware the youth and Programme participants that drug is a bigger issue and spoiled the youngsters of our Society. They also told that keep yourself busy in games and sports and other activities. They told that the said programme was organise to aware the locals and youngsters. While addressing to programme Participants, Company Comander also briefed that our security forces also done so many programmes on drug awareness. After programme they honoured some local youth who take the training for various sports competitions, at TA Camp Banyari and brightens the name of 158 TA in different activities. On this occasion a athlete namely Ritik who take the training at TA Camp Baniyari for Athletic activii and Winner of Gold Medal also honoured by Company commander of Company. Gathering was about 100/120. Ended peacefully.
