Nordic Theatre Studies is the leading academic journal for theatre researchers in the Nordic and Baltic countries and for all scholars writing about theatre and performance related to these countries. Nordic Theatre Studies is a peer reviewed Open Access journal available online for free. One volume is thematic; the other is dedicated to conferences and other events organized by the Association of
Nordic Theatre Scholars. All volumes also have an open section dedicated to research articles and essays, as well as a section for reviews. Proposals for contributions should be presented in a short abstract (not exceeding 300 words) and sent to the Editor-in-Chief S.E. Manuscripts are to be submitted in English. The length of the article should be approx. 35,000 signs, including punctuation marks, blanks, notes and references. The Association of Nordic Theater Scholars (ANTS) has the following objectives:
to promote cooperation between researchers and postgraduate students as well as to contribute to the development of graduate programs in the Nordic countries (Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Iceland) and the Baltic countries (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania) through seminars, projects, and exchange. to provide information on the association's activities and ongoing research and dissertation projects, and to provide information about the Nordic, Baltic and international research and educational activities. to publish the journal Nordic Theatre Studies.
