DEEKAY is Danish production/songwriting team founded by Lars Halvor Jensen, Martin Michael Larsson with other members Tim McEwan, Obi and Josh. The name DEEKAY comes from the acronym DK, which means Denmark. DEEKAY have written and produced for artists like Diddy, Allison Iraheta, JLS, Charice, Jason Derulo, Method Man, Fat Joe, Orianthi, Styles P, Mis-Teeq, Ashley Tisdale, JLS, Natascha Bessez, M
elanie B, Jordin Sparks, and many others. They work on all genres from Hip-Hop, Rap, to EDM Music. From 2004-2005, they worked with UK boy-band Blue, writing and producing hit singles "Breathe Easy" and "Bubblin'" (UK top 4 & top 9). In 2006 DEEKAY penned first single "It's Not That Easy" for UK soul artist Lemar, a single which reached #2 on the official UK airplay chart. In 2007, they co-wrote and produced the title track for the Sugababes album, "Change" In 2008 they produced the first single from American Idol Judge Randy Jackson's album. The song was called "Dance Like There's No Tomorrow" and featured Paula Abdul. In 2009, DEEKAY wrote and produced "Believe Again", which was a #1 sales and #1 airplay smash in Denmark. DEEKAY songs/productions are featured on upcoming/current releases from artists like Diddy, Orianthi, Allison Iraheta, Charice etc. They recently produced and co-wrote two tracks on the UK #1 album, JLS, which went double platinum three weeks after release. Have 4 studios in Copenhagen and 1 in Los Angeles and employ 3 writer/producers (Obi & Josh & Tim McEwan).
