The 13 December every year, Sankta Lucia is celebrated in schools and churches, here from a past event i. Helligåndskirken in Copenhagen. Dear readers, Denmark has a new monarch, King Frederik X. If you were in Copenhagen participating in the proclamation party, you will have noticed the very Danish way it all took place; despite massive crowds, a great deal of police, the public was able to get close to the route and in general the police attitude was: this is a public party, en folkefest as a police officer said to us while standing at Amalienborg today.
