NEW RELEASE: Today we release Bridges the first single from Smooze taken from the forthcoming EP Kino Pop to be released 27 May.

Sarah (UK) and Ben(FR) met working on the Days of May album Casual Destruction and later as guests on Groove Armada’s Edge of the Horizon. Ben’s musical vision and Sarah’s vocals truly came together in confinement during COVID, giving them both the time to dedicate to a new project and so Smooze was born. Music inspired by an image, a mood, an atmosphere with Ben’s authentic tracks, and Sarah’s pop/soul vocals.

'Bridges' was one of the first tracks we worked on together along with 'Permission' (From the forthcoming EP). They were strange times. Which got me thinking about how different a game life had become. Hence the lyrics. It’s a track that really embodies the title of our forthcoming EP, Kino Pop.

This week we finalise this year's compilation The Chrysanthemum Seal and what I final we've got for you.

Tower of Love by Erasure remixed by Beg, Steal or Borrow (BSB).

BSB is the pseudonyme for DJ Nicka Kirstejn and engineer wizard Andreas Arenholt Bindslev's studio project. The boys has received a fair amount of attraction after a bunch of remixes of Der Dritte Raum, Liars, On Dead Waves, Cold Specks to name a few, and also release a couple of signature tracks on Stella Polaris Music the last couple of seasons.

Moving up the circuit, here they get their hands on legendary Erasure and a brand new track from their latest album - Neon - called Tower of Love. The remix is a deep and mellow house track perfectly accompanying Andy’s sensible vocal and respectfully keeping a few of Vince’s signature synths over the bubbly bass and amazing drum programming. Yeah! It's weekend and we have reached the second last track of The Chrysanthemum Seal and today we present a new mix of a true classic.

Der Dritte Raum released Hale Bopp in 1998 but this version is brand new and included on the remix album Hale Bopp Mutation and obviously also on The Chrysanthemum Seal in Beg, Steal or Borrow's chilled version of the classical techno track.

First song for this weekend is almost a Stella Polaris classic already: Modern Sounds by Days of May in the excellent Stranger Sounds remix done by Frederik Schumann.

The Chrysanthemum Seal will be finished within two weeks and the two last tracks are both real treats...
