TAILORING

Our books about Icebreakers and Warm Ups are aimed at anyone interested in singing, playing music and having a good time regardless of age and level.

The warm-up exercises in the books should be seen as basic recipes, and just like good and well-functioning food recipes, it is necessary that they be adapted to the size, age, skills and tastes of the target group. It is the chef who must ensure that everyone is sufficiently challenged, wants to eat with another time and is full, so that everyone at the table can feel happy, healthy and strong.

The challenge is to adapt the exercises so that everyone comes along.

You certainly have your own ideas on how these exercises can be put together, changed and adapted, and that's good, because that way the choir rehearsals, singing lessons and music lessons become more dynamic, personal and interesting.

Happy playing!

✨VOCAL TECHNIQUE FOR CHOIRS ✨

A message from Tine

“I have always been a fan of Complete Vocal technique and Cathrine Sadolin. I started learning the technique from my first voice teacher when I was 15 years old and continued studying the method at The Royal Academy of Music.

It’s been a solid foundation for me and for my voice students for more than 20 years now and when I started working with choirs it became a natural thing for me to invent and develop exercises that could implement and train CVT in a choral context - I mean - from a pedagogical point of view it is quite a different thing to work with students 1-1 and to work with large groups of people in a choir with different voices types, learning styles and challenges.

There for I am also so deeply deeply honoured and happy and excited that Cathrine Sadolin herself has given me and Kristoffer permission to incorporate the CVT terminology in our warm up book, so more voice teachers and choral directors can implement this method in their warm ups if they like.

I hope you will check it out and that you will feel that CVT and the exercises in the warm up book can support you in becoming the singer that you would like to be.”

ARE YOU WARM ENOUGH?

Warm-up exercises are games and exercises that warm up the body, voice, heart and brain and bring people of all ages closer to each other through song, music and movement. In our book, “Warming Up - A Handbook on Choir Warm-Up, Voice Training and Singing Together” we have collected exercises and thoughts on how the warm-up can be both a greenhouse for community and the joy of singing and a playful learning space for musical and singing development.

Happy singing!

Want to help us?

We're trying to do everything at the same time. Making newsletters, shipping out books, being active on social medias, doing workshops, teachings and courses and managing our many other projects.

It can honestly be a bit stressfull at times and if you want to help us to be able to find more time to make more books, videos, newsletters and material that your can use in your work life, then you can.

Help us by spreading the word about our Icebreaker, Breaking the Ice and Warming Up book. Maybe you already own one of the books, then lend it to a colleague and see if can give inspiration, or share this newsletter in a forum or group where you think our books will be intersting.

We've found some help

The summer vacation is over here in Denmark and while the rest of europe is still in vacation mode, we begin to slowly get used to our everyday work life.

Even though both of us has been out traveling over the summer, we have been able to keep up with the many orders you have put for our books. Luckily we now have good help from Kristoffers daughter Nanna who helps us pack and send out orders to most of the world.

So when you get a little heart and smiley on your package, then you'll know that it's been carefully shipped with love and devotion by Nanna :-)

Do you remember this?

We definitely made tons of these when were kids and wrote small questions or actions inside.

It's called a fortune teller, cootie catcher, nip napper or flip flopper and is a perfect practical icebreaker to start up with.

Put questions about your vacation or what you seen and done since the last time we saw each other and walk around between each other and try each others cootie catcher.
