Aurangzeb: Early Education:
Third child of Shahjahan, Aurangzeb; was an intelligent boy would master science, politics, The Holy Quran, theology, poetry and élan vital, skills of warfare at very tender age.
His famous teachers were Maulvi Abdul Latif Sultanpuri, Mulla Mohan (Mohiuddin), Sayyid Muhammad of Kannauj, Mohammad Hashim Gilani, Mulla Shaikh Ahmad, Shaikh Abdul Qavi and Sadatullah Khan, a great administrator. They left a long lasting impression on the brain of this future emperor. Later he would praise them for their hard work and dedication, which would help him to achieve his goal.
Below is a paragraph from the book, 'Aurangzeb-attitude and inclination'
[.......The same opportunity provided to the four sons, they grew up in the same environment yet each developed distinctive outlook, behaviour pattern and aptitude. This was the course not unusual.
As written in Maasir-e-Alamgiri:
"Aurangzeb was a very attentive student, hard-working and sincere. He read with avidity and very soon he became master of Arabic, Persian, Turkish and Hindi. He read the Quran and the Hadith and other theological works in which he was interested. Being a serious-minded he was more inclined to Philosophy rather than poetry."
He read and assimilated various standard works and his memory was so sharp that in subsequent life he quoted verbatim from the work he had read in political or philosophical treaties.......]
