My confession of faith (Philippians 2:11)
(on the inter-regional radio HBW, several times on 27.07.)

I would like to introduce myself in the context of identifying faith, that is, to say briefly something about what and how I believe.
In fact, every person is... a believer. We know very little, and the rest is our faith.
What and how do I believe? I am a Christian. In the Bible, in Acts 11:19-26, we learn what it means to be a "Christian". You can read it.
Many years ago, when after studying theology I was preparing for ordination in a church in the Polish People's Republic (then communist country), I encountered a condition that was absolutely unacceptable to me: taking an oath of allegiance to the communist authorities. I could not do it.
Many years later, I had another problem with integration in the so-called free church (freie Kirche), which did not recognize the full ministry of women. There was no room for me there either, because I believe (according to Galatians 3:28) that in Jesus Christ "there is neither male nor female". In this way I hit another religious dead end.
To be clear: I am not saying that the dogmatic-confessional framework is completely wrong or unnecessary, but for me personally, and especially because of my conscience, I could not agree to any compromise. It was and is about freedom of faith.
On the other hand, I greatly appreciate churches that maintain freedom towards others despite their dogmatic, confessional framework. This is truly praiseworthy!
Especially in eastern part of Germany (but not only here), there is talk and discussion about the church crisis. In Germany alone, hundreds of thousands of people leave churches every year.
Isn't the main reason dogmatic confessionalism? Or is it simply about rethinking religious freedom?
Christianity in the sense of dogmatic faith (i.e. the attitude to church laws and regulations) is a confession. But is there also a Christianity that is not based on human rules and laws (cf. Mark 7:7-8)? Yes. The Bible, the very Word of God, clearly defines spiritual belonging and identification. “Jesus Christ is Lord” – this is the creed of biblical Christians (it appears several times in the New Testament, e.g. in Philippians 2:11: “Every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father”). This is also my confession: I confess that Jesus Christ is my Lord.
And here is an invitation, a suggestion, and an alternative for the unchurched, that is, those who do not belong to churches: decide for Jesus as your Lord, read the New Testament, and find others for whom Jesus Christ is Lord! Healthy freedom is guaranteed.

A course is like a line that is limited by two points. It connects its two endpoints, the beginning and the end. Is it like that in our life too? I answer yes and no, because it continues!
The beginning of life is something amazingly wonderful. Every life does not begin with its appearance, but some time earlier, after fertilization. The beginning of all life is fertilization! We, as the so-called "crown of creation", celebrate birthdays as the beginning of life, but have existed for about nine months before that. Our parents contributed to the beginning of our life because they used the resources available to them effectively! And this applies to every way of life. Only God is the creator and author of life. It was He who placed the first point, birth, on our course. Yes, it sounds mysterious and no one can fully comprehend and understand it. But that's the way it is. At the beginning of our material existence, when we are already seen as formed beings, coming into this world individually, we celebrate our birthday every year. And then we live on.
However, we are aware that our physical life will end. This will be death, the end point of our physical life. I am emphasizing the fleshly, material life here. Hence yes and no at the beginning, because alongside the physical life there is a spiritual life that does not end, but continues: either in the world of darkness or of light with God. So it will be a new, unlimited existence. It is good to be prepared for such a transition that awaits us: both in the area of ​​the body and everything that goes with it, and even more so in the spiritual sense. Having your own funeral plans is good and important. We should therefore make all the more plans for the endless journey into eternity.
We will die, but we will also not die. Now we sometimes even invest uninhibitedly in the material life, which we will ultimately have to leave behind. Wouldn't it be wiser and better to be more secure and fulfilled in our spiritual life? In John 11:25, Jesus says: Whoever believes in me will live, even if he dies.
Because I believe this and have this guarantee from God for eternity, I would like to motivate and challenge you to do the same!

Jedna z najstarszych – a mimo to nowość

Preface:
"Organized groups, denominations and churches are focused around specific and characteristic principles of faith.
Very often, these principles (such as dogmas, doctrines, statutes) cause division and steal the place due to the Holy Spirit.
Of course, there are very fundamental principles, such as in my first church there are four "only": sola fide (faith), sola gratia (grace), solus Christus (Christ), and sola scriptura (Holy Scripture).
In fact, anything else that extends sola scriptura is already inconsistent and may even be dangerous. If someone’s faith is truly based on the Holy Scriptures, there is no need for an "avalanche" of new paragraphs!
In the Old Testament, the main rule was the Ten Commandments. Their growth into hundreds of other prohibitions and commandments was eventually replaced by the "two and a half" New Testament commandments (love for God, for oneself and for one’s neighbor).
Undoubtedly, differences in views occur equally within "closed" and "independent" groups! If we look at the congregations in the New Testament, we will notice that - despite having a common foundation - they differed from each other. Moreover, every believer believes more or less differently.
So what is the hidden reason for such "confessionalism"? It is exclusivism on the outside and enslavement on the inside!
Personally, I’m a Christian who doesn’t like being put into boxes - God made me who I am. But I am also a Christian who fully respects others and longs for unlimited service among them.
This type of Christian attitude was shaped in me in the context of three denominations:
1. sola scriptura and order – by the Church of the Reformation,
2. consistency and potential – by the Baptist Church,
3. invention and passion – by the Pentecostal Church.
I hope the following narratives will inspire thought for everyone."
