The new album "ZAS" by is out nowđ„
On the new album "ZAS" by pianist Ralf Schmid and his alter ego Pyanook, two grand pianos and data gloves (MiMu Gloves by ) meet Nordic voices, analog synthesizers, violin, beatbox, and percussion to form a musical landscape between jazz and contemporary classical music. In the process, Pyanook navigates the sound through the space by gesture control, manipulates and arranges it with slight hand movements, and forms a unique musical experience. and jazz trumpeter & composer accompany Pyanook on this album which they recorded in the cold region of Norway in 2022.

The next single by Pyanook is here: With "Still and still not", the composer presents a track that was created during the early days of the Corona pandemic. âMy "signature track" from the Corona period. In weekly livestreams from my studio I developed new compositions in interaction with the audience and other musicians. "Still and still not" was the first in this series, catapulting me back to the time of the first lockdown, to a feeling of standstill and uncertainty but also of a new strength that emerged from this extraordinary situation.â â Pyanook

Today, 8 pm on BR-KLASSIK Livestream: Singer-songwriter Gisbert zu Knyphausen and pianist Kai Schumacher perform songs by Franz Schubert live at Kulturforum FĂŒrth. The pieces are part of the album "Lass irre Hunde heulen" and have been arranged in a modern version never heard before.

He turns to music where words fail, giving sound to the ineffable and unexplainable nature of his inspiration.â The composer lets his nose guide him freely on the album, and as a result embraces and tributes some of lifeâs biggest incognitos.

Out now: 'Chasing Heisenberg' is the third and final Album in an album trilogy by Dresden born and Leipzig based pianist and composer Clemens Christian Poetzsch. In this album Poetzsch embraces the random sparks of beauty that inspire him. The album titel is an ode to the German physicist Werner Heisenberg, who uncovered and formulated the uncertainty principle. To Poetzsch, this theory relates to the artistic pursuit. The spark of inspiration is fleeting and its presence is never for certain. In these new and original compositions Poetzsch was able to document the search for and capture of it through the alternation between composed and improvised elements. The result is a organic and fluid feel to the music as well as a warm and clear sound.
