Paulin Rogues, the genius behind the video for “Sonate au jambon”, has written down a few thoughts for you and put together a short video showing the process of its creation. We hope you enjoy watching it as much as he enjoyed making it. Make sure to check out his other works too. Links in bio.
„A few months ago, I accidentally discovered Marie Klock’s album Damien est vivant. I instantly fell in love with it. I wrote to Marie, offering to create a music video for her if she was interested. Her music really resonated with me. For some time, I had wanted to move away from using ready-made 3D assets and instead sculpt and create everything myself. She let me listen to her upcoming album with Gozen, and Sonate au jambon felt perfectly in line with my creative vision. A fantastic, magical carnival full of adventures. I spent my entire summer working on the video. I must admit, I rarely had this much fun. I learned so much while making it, things I had never done before. This was the challenge I set for myself: to create everything, sculpt everything, and animate everything. I ended up with this whole gallery of characters, which I grew attached to. I had created my own little toys, and it was important to me, in every shot, to always take them a little further. I wanted to reconnect with my first love of 3D, not caring about the technical aspects, but just feeling completely free to imagine whatever I wanted.“

Up for pre-order 👉MAREWREW: Ukouk Remixes Pt. 02💫
It's a surprisingly perfect match: The folk music of the Ainu group Marewrew receives a Dub remix treatment. We love the unexpected synergies between their hypnotic a cappella songs and the playful, deep and resonating dubs by five Pingipung artists.
Ukouk Remixes Pt. 02 is a 7'' single by Elijah Minnelli and Peter Presto, complete with remixes by Contact Field Orchestra, Cloud Management and Andi Otto in the digital package.

Glad we could win Berlin based DJ and curator mattmosphere for our podcast series. Enjoy a relaxed ride on the 76-meter-long Jazz caterpillar.
Matti on his mix: "Wondering over here if living on other planets would also implement the enjoyment of strolling through a jazz bar. Would we gather there, look back in nostalgic awe and sorrow of what beauty we left back on earth, bringing forward sweet memories with some spacey horn sounds and gloomy piano sessions? Future moments will tell. Until then please feel right at home in the interplanetary jazz lounge where time and money are just human concepts and inconsistencies.
I guess deeply rooted this mix was inspired by my father’s taste in music back when I was still in the crib. I remember hearing spacey and loungy jazz tunes right from the get-go. Those kind of sounds will stay with me for ever and constantly close circles of some sort."

The Three Design are Andrea Mampf Wienck aka Mme Bing, Heiko Gogolin (both Pingipung) and Sebastian Kokus (Cloud Management, Love-Songs, TEOTH). They share a love for silly wordplay and bass-heavy grooves. This is their third mix for the Pingipung podcast series. You’ll hear dub, dub and dub, with everything in it and in between. And it might sound a little different than you imagine.
