The films

We aim to put together a great program of the latest short films
from Berlin and Brandenburg. Narratives, animations and documentaries are welcome. The films only need to be produced in the region
of Berlin / Brandenburg or the filmmaker must come from here!

Introducing the first ever XPOSED POP UP CAMPUS! 🤩

An initiative from the Q***r Short Film Fund and XPOSED.

Location: Aquarium (next to Südblock), Skalitzer Straße 6, 10999 Berlin-Kreuzberg

One of the goals the festival had when creating the Q***r Short Film Fund was to foster q***r filmmakers in the development and production of their q***r short films. Through the XPOSED Pop Up Campus, q***r filmmakers will have the opportunity to further develop their projects and engage in intercultural/ transcultural exchange during the annual XPOSED Q***r Film Festival Berlin. Development and exchange are important tools that need the proper space and attention in order to foster q***r talent and LGBTQIA+ stories.

Producing q***r films and developing q***r narratives is not easy, especially for BIPOC, disabled, and working class filmmakers, as discriminatory structures prohibit the space and funding needed to support these projects. With the XPOSED Pop Up Campus, we aim to create alternative spaces and programs where filmmakers can work on their artistic and performative content in a safer space and network that supports each other.

❗ ANNOUNCEMENT: Q***R SHORT FILM FUND 2023 & XPOSED Pop Up Campus 2023❗

Attention q***r filmmakers: we are super excited to announce the 𝟗𝐭𝐡 𝐐𝐔𝐄𝐄𝐑 𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐑𝐓 𝐅𝐈𝐋𝐌 𝐅𝐔𝐍𝐃 ✨

Are you working on a q***r short film project and need support? Projects can be submitted from NOW until May 19th 📝

The fund consists of

🎁 a cash prize of 1,500 €, donated by XPOSED
🎁 a voucher for filming equipment worth 2,000 €, provided by 25p *cine support GmbH - Filmtechnikverleih Berlin
🎁 two days of Grading - including Conforming - with additional creation of a DCP & Web Screener worth 3,000€, provided by Planemo

In addition, the fund is accompanied by a mentoring programme: An industry expert advises the winner in five sessions from script development to the production phase and post-production.

Submissions are open for all of Germany - so spread the word! 🗣️

For the first time this year, thanks to the support from Goethe-Institut, the XPOSED Pop Up Campus will be held within the framework of the Q***r Short Film Fund! Through a series of workshops and talks we aim to offer support to q***r filmmaking in many areas of production. Everyone who has submitted a project will have the opportunity to participate. 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟓, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑. So stay tuned ✨
