Die Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film (HFF) lädt auch in diesem Jahr zu seiner Jahresschau im Innenhof der HFF, Bernd-Eichinger-Platz 1, ein, wie das Fahrgastfernsehen Münchner Fenster berichtet. Gezeigt werden bei dem Open-Air-Kino vom 12.-14. Juli Commercials und Kurzfilme der Studenten und Studentinnen. Der Eintritt ist frei, eine Anmeldung nicht erforderlich.

DAS LEBEN IST NUR NOCH IM RAUSCH ZU ERTRAGEN von Larissa Dold und Christina Schmid (studieren Drehbuch und Produktion & Medienwirtschaft an der HFF München)

Der PROPELLER PREIS wurde von den Preisstiftern der TELLUX-Gruppe, besonders von Geschäftsführer Philipp Schall, der selbst Alumnus der HFF München ist, im letzten Jahr ganz neu kreiert: Als Ideen-Wettbewerb werden ab 2023 jährlich Konzepte für Young-Adult-Formate gesucht, die sich im Geiste Fritz Gerlichs gesellschaftlich relevanten Themen widmen und „Mit jedem Film die Welt ein bisschen besser machen“.

📢 We need your films! | Deadline: July 18, 2024

Filmschoolfest Munich – Festival of Future Storytellers is now accepting entries for this year’s festival edition (November 15 – 23, 2024)! 🎞️

✨ Each year, we celebrate the creativity and skill of film school students from around the world as we welcome them to Munich and present their short films on the big screen.

The shorts are chosen by independent selection committees and are eligible for prizes with a total value of over 40,000 euros. 🏆

This year, we’re excited to introduce the DACH Short Film Competition – a newly minted competitive section dedicated to German, Austrian and Swiss student short films – while the International Short Film Competition will continue to present student productions from all over the world. 🌏

We are one of the most traditional platforms for student short films – a meeting place for film schools from all over the world.

Next, we want to make it our core task to be a hub for the entire German-speaking region as well.

❣️ In addition to our established International Competition, there will be a brand-new competition for the DACH region: for films made at film schools in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. 🚀

And there’s more: we aim to embrace new developments in audiovisual storytelling and exciting narrative forms that push the boundaries of the short form, including interactive and XR spaces. Established filmmakers will offer insights into their work at an international level. Plus, we are continually expanding our global network.

Ich habe meine Akkreditierung vom
‚1. Europäischen Studienfilm Wettbewerb‘ 1981 gefunden. Das Gründungsjahr des Filmschoolfest Munich. Damals war ich Student im K-Kurs an der HFF und Clips aus meinem Film Deutsche Welle wurden gezeigt.
I found my pass from the 1. European Student Filmfestival 1981. I was a student at HFF and clips from my movie ‚Deutsche Welle‘ have been screened.

💛 Browsing through the program, discovering films that are truly one of a kind, asking exciting questions, hearing exciting answers, shedding a tear over an animation, marveling at a beautiful camera sequence, meeting new people, catching up with old friends, exchanging stories about their love of cinema, while enjoying Bavarian curling and Bavarian beer (thanks to Hofbräu München), basically living at the HFF München for a week, and most of all falling in love with short films – once in, always in! 🫶

In exactly one month the 2023 will start! Who's in? 🎬 🥳

Now that the submission deadline has passed, our preselection jury is starting its work – and the program of the 42nd is being created. 🎉

We received more submissions than ever this year, which makes us very happy. 🤩 Now the selection jury has a good month to review the nearly 400 animated, documentary and feature films. At the beginning of September, they will decide which films will be included in this year's festival program. 📽🎞

We’re already very excited and looking forward to seeing what the program has in store. You can marvel at it from November 13 to 18 at HFF München and meet the young filmmakers from all over the world. 🌏

Our preselection jury consists of:

⚖️ Gisèle S. Mbamu, a Polish-Congolese writer and filmmaker who grew up in Stuttgart.

⚖️ Joanna Żak, a film programmer and festival producer, currently based at the Ale Kino in Poznan, Poland.

⚖️ Ribal Chedid, a Lebanese filmmaker and film editor, whose senior film TALK TO ME was part of last year’s .
