Boing Bumm Tschak [check biog]
A historical place in Frankfurt when it comes to music and music production. I’ve bought my first sampler (a Roland MKS100) in this little shop and many other artists and producers where customers here. A crazy mix of old n new, used and never used, this spot offered some surprises for those who knew. The Frankfurt music scene is about to lose an important ingredient. Rest in peace MUSIKHAUS BORNHEIM!

13 years ago and probably the greatest voice and talent in the UK for decades. What a loss, what a tragedy and what a legacy. Living on this world made her suffer and she did all to escape from the world she/we (have to) live in. With her music, with her „lifestyle”, with her whole appearance. At this young age she left a hole so big that it still feels unreal - even thirteen years after she stopped suffering.

It has been quite some time since I had the pleasure to perform in the beautiful city of Freiburg - one of the nicest areas in Germany and thanx to the almighty Elble Brothers (Offenburg), Rainer Trüber, Shaddy and many more activists a true music lovers hot spot.

some of you might know these two old friends of mine – their mutual project "ric y martin" runs probably under one of the coolest names ever. I started my career more or less with and following Ricardo – we organized legendary raves and house nights back in the early 90s with artists like John Acquaviva, Chez Damier, Carl Craig, Dan Curtin and many many more... most of them with our Frankfurt friends Ata, Heiko MSO (r.i.p.), Yannick or ND Baumecker... all solid names until today.
Although Martin (aka Dandy Jack) and me lived in and around Frankfurt I never met him here in Germany before. It happened that I had to jump in for some of Ricardos Gigs in Chile which I obviously did not hesitate to say yes – that brought me to Santiago de Chile. I stayed 14 days at Martins house, met his family, his friends from Santiago, went on trips to the Val Paraiso and I even met Jorge Gonzalez – a musical genius and a legend in Chile – a blissful soul with a big (red) heart!
By the way: A cool 18 year young kid opened the night for one of my gigs there at the infamous „microclub“ – it was love at first sight with big mutual respect. That kid, that stood there watching and listening to my set and chatting with me afterwards, happened to bypass me a couple of years later in hyper speed… under the name of Luciano :)
Anyway – back to the picture: I am happy to learn that RIC Y MARTIN announced a comeback! Thrilled to see and hear that, can’t wait.

I have been in loose contact with Igor for ages but we had never managed to have a mutual project running so this one really gets me emotional. Even more as this project started by the basic idea to support Ukrainian house music activists in their struggle to keep going in these mad times. I did not hesitate a second and Carlos, Nelson and Frank didn't either – the result is a fine selection of deeper house music tunes & mixes we came up with over the last years and especially compiled it for this release. Sad and happy at the same time about this nice "get together" of artists from so many different parts of Europe on an Ukrainian label – hoping the future will be a better one and that the title of this e.p. is more than just a word. Together we are and together we stay and the best outcome of this collaboration is to present the tunes one day in the Ukraine, in peace and happiness.
