Turning vintage photo lenses into cine lens dreams?
Brand new REHOUSING episode by the MEDIA DIVISION is out now!
We traveled to China to have our FD “Dreamset” rehoused… and we filmed every step along the way! We learned a lot and we share that with you… real lens expertise from the pros, including a crash course on how to evaluate, clean, disassemble, measure, mark, engrave, test, and handle vintage lenses.
We also had the chance to compare our set to the original K35.

Portraits are often taken at longer focal lengths as the compression of features due to the greater distance looks flattering. A Dolly Zoom changes the distance but maintains the size of the subject. This gives us the unique chance to see a portrait shot from close and a far … morphing into each other. This way you can tell how much it matters. Focal length is 35 to 80mm and distance is 3 to 6 meters. Taken from the ZOOM episode on the Media Division YT channel.
