DJ FUNKAHOLIC - SOUL FUNK & BLACK JAZZ connaisseur since 1995! DJ Funkaholic was born and raised in Hannover, Germany.

It all started when he got his parents´ record collection in the early 1990s when he was a teenager. Their collection was full of hippie-esque stuff like Hendrix, Led Zep, Stones & Sabbath but also included soul artists like Otis Redding and Wilson Pickett. He seriously started record collecting age 17 and found his love for DEEP FUNK, SOUL & BLACK JAZZ. In his hometown Funkaholic played the openi

ng DJ-Sets for some outstanding funk & soul related artists like OSAKA MONAURAIL, RAMP, KARL HECTOR & THE MALCOUNS aka POETS OF RHYTHM, THE NEW MASTERSOUNDS and NICOLE WILLIS & THE SOUL INVESTIGATORS, just to name a few. Funkaholic is also hosting his monthly radioshow called „this is FUNKAHOLIC!“ on a local radio station called „LeineHertz 106.5“ since 2010. In his shows he plays a wide vinyl selection of 60s & 70s FUNK SOUL & BLACK JAZZ to NU FUNK & ORGANIC BREAKS. Also label- and band-specials will be featured on future radioshows. Artists like BRIAN AUGER, SHAWN LEE, JJ WHITEFIELD & ERIC BOSS already became radio show guests in the past.
