ART OF GROOVE is a new addition to the Mig Music family. By focus team, will be responsible for the label.

Producer Joachim Becker, in cooperation with Manfred Schütz and the M.i.G. He will make the decisions concerning the
repertoire and his considerable experience will be of great value in this new
cooperation. In past decades he was a guarantee for the success of the labels of BHM,
Intuition and ESC Records. As a producer, he has worked constantly with world stars in the jazz and funk scene for ma

ny years. He has produced albums of Maceo Parker, Joe
Zawinul, Abdullah Ibrahim as well as the WDR Big Band Cologne with, among others, the Brecker Brothers and Bill Evans. Eight productions for which Becker was responsible as producer or executive
producer were nominated for Grammies in various sections. Becker himself has won two
Grammies, as producer for "Some Skunk Funk" (WDR Big Band with the Brecker
Brothers/ Best Large Ensemble Jazz Album) and "75" (Joe Zawinul/ Best Contemporary Jazz Album). Joachim Becker, as a keyboarder, is not only knowledgeable about the studio business but can also offer many years of stage experience.
