Our masterclass with KS Brigitte Fassbaender is already beginning in less than 2 weeks 🗓️
Brigitte Fassbaender probably came to singing through her father, the Kammersänger Willi Domgraf-Fassbaender, under whom she also studied singing. She was only 21 when she made her debut at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, which also marked the start of her career as a mezzo-soprano.
In addition to appearances at all leading opera houses worldwide, she was the leading Octavian in Strauss' Der Rosenkavalier for two generations of audiences.
A milestone in her film and sound recordings was the recording of the three great Schubert song cycles, which she was the first woman to record 🥇
In 1995 she ended her singing career to devote herself to directing. She worked for 13 years as artistic director at the Tiroler Landestheater.
Brigitte Fassbaender is particularly interested in promoting young talent, which she demonstrates as a highly requested vocal teacher in masterclasses worldwide, as she will be doing here in Weikersheim from 20 - 23 February.
