John 10:30
“I and the Father are one.”
Jesus says that he and the Father are “one” in purpose,
and unified in their goals and actions.
Jesus and the Father operate in perfect unity,
and it should be the goal of every Christian to be “one”
with them. This is clearly what Jesus wanted
when he prayed, “…that they [Jesus’ followers] may be
one as we are one; I in them, and Thou in me,
that they may be perfected into one”
John 10:33
“We are not stoning you for any good work,” they replied,
“but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.”
John 10:34
Jesus replied, “It is written in your own Scriptures that God said
to certain leaders of the people, ‘I say, you are gods!’
Ephesians 5:1
