We are proud to introduce our new author under MRenkerBooks Claire Paladin, a young Filipino author who is currently based in Germany.

“Claire Paladin is a graduate of Notre Dame of Tacurong College. She started pursuing her writing career in 2015, and successfully published her first book Things I Told the Moon and Stars in 2021.
Aside from writing poems, Claire also takes interest in composing original songs, and playing various instruments like the guitar and ukulele.”

Our first featured Philippine Literary Circle Europe member is DONNA AVELLANA KÜNZLER.
She was born and raised in Cavite, Philippines. She is a Process Improvement and Digital Transformation Leader by profession and has a postgraduate degree in Strategy and Innovation from the University of Oxford and an Accounting degree from De La Salle University. She is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Information Systems Auditor, and Certified MSP Foundation and Practitioner in Program Management.

An Information Technology Auditor/ Consultant for most of her career, she has worked for E&Y and Singapore Airlines in Singapore, and PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Philippines, US, UK and Switzerland.

Her ovfabpinay life started in 2001 when she relocated to Singapore for work. She continued her adventures in the US (San Jose, California) and then across the pond in the UK (London) before finally ending up in Switzerland (Basel and then Zurich).

She self-published her book, “The Overseas Fabulous Pinay: a modern Filipina’s handbook on how to thrive abroad” to realize her advocacies on women empowerment, education, and promotion of the welfare of foreign workers. It has won the Best Independent Book Award 2021 for Nonfiction – Living Abroad, Gold Award in Literary Titan Book Awards 2021, Gold Award in the Nonfiction Book Awards 2020, and honored as a finalist in the Travel and Guidebooks category in Global Books Awards 2022 and Best Book Design category in the International Book Awards 2020.

Donna is currently the Head of Procurement Process Excellence & Digital Transformation for ABB’s Robotics and Discrete Automation business, a member of the Board of Directors of the non-profit, Breaking Silence Movement, and is the Swiss Bureau Editor for Roots & Wings magazine. Donna is the recipient of the Filipina Women’s Network’s (FWN) Most Influential Filipina Woman in the World Award 2023. She lives in Zurich with her husband and daughter.
