Oba Ovoranmen was maternally from the Ero N’Urubi family through his mother Iyoba-Iheya who was born to Omoregie Ero, the Ero of Urubi, during the reign of Oba Osemwede, she was the first child of her father, hence the name “Iheya”- “heiress” and has her maternally root from Obadan in uhunmwonde LGA. Her father's maternal roots traced back to Usen, where she spent time helping her grandmother on the family farm and selling wares at the usen market.
As Iyọba, she established a military training center at Obadan, demonstrating her leadership and strategic skills. Following the British invasion, she became a vital pillar of support for the royal household, playing a crucial role in the ascension of Oba Eweka II to the throne. Unfortunately, she outlived her son and passed away six years after his grandson Oba Eweka ll, succession to throne.
