Soon after the first release, Leszek and Joe agreed that they should keep the X23 project alive and crack on with a second EP. They shared some ideas, samples and stems, frequently chat about how number 2 should sound like. But no tracks had ever been produced. When Leszek heard that Joe passed away he started digging through the samples from him and very soon he had 5 new amazing tracks done.

X23 are: Synthetic minds fused in time and space by robotic and chaotic forces permeating through dream and reality. A cybernetic dawn amongst the urban rubble and rust. Be prepared to receive a high dose of energy coming out of the speakers. Noisy, distorted and electromechanical wall crushing beats.

As a teenager he liked Rap, Graffiti and Breakdance but the electronic music became his passion. Once he listened to a Love Parade Compilation in 1999 he found out what Techno and Chris Liberator Acid Techno is and all the Hip Hop stuff was gone. In that very moment he said to himself: „I want to do this too!“

With a history of playing bass guitar in bands, Joe spent the late 90’s DJing drum and bass in local Oxford house parties. Eventually Joe made the switch into electronic music, which is a childhood passion of his. Joe brings his bass heavy, industrial influenced electro back to Battery Park Studio for his second release after the LP “Synth K***s and Boomsticks”. Nika Farra found the origin of her musical development as a teenager in the home computer scene. The fascination of the intros and demos of that time led her into the world of soundtrackers. In combination with her work as a DJ, numerous gigs and live acts followed in the years to come - resulting in numerous mix and demo tapes.

When the label ELEKTROLUX became aware of her and requested a track for the well-known Space Night series on Bavarian Television (BR), Nika Farra's actual musical career began. Under the pseudonym SOLAR CHROME followed further music videos on public television ("Man vs. Machine"). This first releases found international appeal and so the cooperation with the label MASCHINEN MUSIK and DR. SCHMIDT came about.

The debut release "I'm A Machine" quickly became a popular track in the electro scene. In the following years many singles and EP's, music videos and live performances followed. Besides her work as SOLAR CHROME, she also created many material for the lounge/chill project BOOT CUT ROCKERS and the experimental IDM project D:STRUCD.

In recent years, Nika Farra has devoted herself almost exclusively to her metal bands and guitar music, partly for personal reasons. With the intensive occupation with the topics mixing and mastering new interest in electronic music grew. At first, a lot of audio-visual material was created under the pseudonym D:STRUCD, which is about the intensive combination of sound and image.

With this work, the plan to produce new electro tracks, which will be released on the label BATTERY'PARK'STUDIO in the future, was soon established.

[BTRY'067] LEFRENK - "S36R3T0" [2022]

Lefrenk represents the maximum exponent of an ambition to link learning and creative personal evolution, within the underground electronic world map.

Since he began his experiments with music production software in 2000, Lefrenk has been burning stages, marked by different achievements, such as his official title of "Digidesign Protools" in 2004.

That same year, it represents the zero kilometer of his artistic explosion, which has led him to generate more than 100 references to date, published in innumerable specialized labels around the world.

Through his enormous musical production, he has built a body of work hatched from all possible angles of electronic calligraphy. Its own universe, carved out of house culture, techno impulsion and a very personal approach to organic sounds coming from ambient variables or any android reverberation of post-human music.

Deep Different, a record label created in 2010 by him and Ikke Alra, a platform from which he is supporting both established figures of the electronic scene and some of his most advanced students.

Precisely, his dual role as creator and teacher of music production defines a greater need within his modus operandi to weave a network of artists, collaborations and new values that spread electronic infection at all levels, also within a rich Galician scene that he is propelling through his teachings as a music production teacher at Fanzine School in A Coruña.

To date, Lefrenk's growth is witnessed in an impact that transcends borders and, above all, is revered on the battlefield of sessions starring names of the caliber of Hernan Cattaneo, Robert Miles, Danny Tenaglia, Gabriel Ananda, Remute, Oliver Schories, Justin Robertson and Barry Jamieson.

Even with a long journey ahead, the career of this renowned producer, from A Coruña, promises that the best is yet to come, through renewed forms of pure cybersonic heterodoxy.
