It all started in Dortmund under his real name Jörn G. Being only 15 years old, he got DJ’s equipment and deejayed at private parties having great fun. From this moment on, Jörn knew he wanted to be part oft he scene because he loved creating seques with vinyls and combining tracks.
In 1994, he took part in a newcomer DJ competition and won the second place.
When he turned 21 he already was praised as DJ. Soon he had several appearances at major events, at „Jägermeister“ parties, and in the context of the Berlin Love Parade. He performed at legendary clubs: T34, 90 Grad, Tuvalu, E35.
Until today, his love for music still remains.
In 2019, Jörn established the “Berliner Elektro Kollektiv“, bringing together DJs of all ages. Their motto is: music connects.
Why the mask?
The mask is Jörn’s signature outfit. Back then, DJ Mask started to wear a mask at parties. He loves its golden colour. Today, it represents the message that DJ Mask spreads: Peace means respecting differentness and the diversity of life.

Heute ist mal wieder ein Tag , wo wir mal wieder Zeit haben darüber nachzudenken. Was eigentlich in der Welt gerade so los ist . Ich finde es ist auch wichtig, mal zu schauen, wie es dem Nachbar oder dem Mensch der an einem vorbeiläuft geht . Ich wünsche mir,das jeder oder jede ein bisschen mehr Respekt hat für den anderen. Warum DJ Maske?

Die Maske ist Jörns Markenzeichen. Damals fing DJ Maske auf Partys an, eine Maske zu tragen.

Er liebt die goldene Farbe. Heute ist es eine Botschaft, die DJ Maske nach draußen trägt:
