Warpcam History/Info

With Warpcam we strive to increase the overall productivity of action shots. One of our features is the continuous workflow from design to finished product. We pre-vis, and shoot with our Warpcam with the same restrictions as well as advantages. Thus creating no surprises on the shoot day.

Warpcam was developed by Ferdi Fischer and Daniel Leavitt in order to capture shots in a way never before possible. They have been working with warpcam prototypes since 2013. The warpcam system has a digital down-link that is used for controlling the pan, roll, tilt movements of the gimbal. Ferdi holds the camera and moves it throughout space, while Daniel controls all movement of the camera from his monitor. This allows Ferdi to focus on camera position, and moving through the scene, while Daniel focuses on framing.

While Warpcam can be used to achieve standard, Russian arm, steady-cam, movi, techno-crane, cable-cam, and dolly style shots. It can also do many things that these technologies cannot.
