Precursor - GLIA is out today.

It’s a special day as we are celebrating 1 year as a label, as a team run by friends sharing the same goal - 100% focus on our artistic missions while building our spaceship one little piece at a time, without any pressure from the outide, so that we one day are free to travel around the universe with the mission to tell our stories and connect with other creatures.

Deep in the basement. The sound of the fridge, the dishwasher, the tumble-dryer - harmonised; humming and thudding on their cycles.

Recreating these sounds with vocal loops and a broken acoustic guitar, Bad Spirit’s new indie-pop gremlin lurches from below. Strange unburied memories of running barefoot from the front door, standing on a luminous island between the main roads, back and forth and forty miles-per-hour. An unwinding wall of sound, howling flutes, vocals swallowed whole by an oncoming wave.

‘The time to act is now.’

The new EP by Precursor is about the growing sentiment around climate change. Trees with the status of evergreen are nature’s best answer to the increasing emissions. Green year-round, they
absorb greenhouse gases and spoil the earth with fresh air. Ironically, Evergreen is also one of the largest shipping companies in the world and it raises the question of how we deal with our environment.

The duality of our relationship with nature is audible in the new single “Evergreen” where Precursor entangles two beautiful melody lines that intertwine and evolve over time. At the break, his signature, with a hefty modular sequence and a dramatic drop scored with a beautiful violin line.

Evergreen’s B-side called “Extracellular Matrix” is an exploration into ambient sound space and film-esque sound design. Let your mind wander and ride the waves of the melodies.

The Evergreen EP is out on March 25!

With an EP fresh under their belt, the Palermo duo Outis strike again with quick-fire grooves and an ocean of atmosphere. What sound like disembodied voices flicker across the surface of the track in ghostly harmony as the thunderous bass and eerie tones carry you.​​
