Gary, big “Betsy” and little “Lucy” face adventures and challenges all over the world 🌍 Maybe that's exactly what sets it apart from the crowd.

Gary on Adventure was never a planned project, it grew out of my passion for challenges. Even today it is a free project that develops freely without coercion and pressure. I'm Gary, of British descent and grew up in Germany. I have been driving motorized two-wheelers for more than 36 years and in this way I would like to continue to discover the world, get to know countries and people and always

face new challenges. On this way I give like-minded people the opportunity to accompany me and I am happy to support them in getting to know this world.

Hallo liebe Follower, liebe Freunde. Hier Ist die Frau von Gary,
Es ist bald vier Monaten her , seit Gary nicht mehr bei uns ist.

Ihr habt alle mitbekommen, dass Marcus noch ein Motorrad hat. Das ist seine Yamaha, die Lucy.
Die Lucy steht unten im Parkhaus und vermisst sehr den Gary. Sie weiß auch, dass er nicht mehr kommt. Ich kann sie nicht mehr lange unten im Parkhaus halten. Irgendwann mit der Zeit verrostet und geht sie kaputt.
Mein Herz sagt behalte Sie, denn das ist das einzige, was von meinem Mann geblieben ist.
Marcus hat das Motorrad letztes Jahr gekauft . Das Motorrad ist ein Einzelstück, wie ich es verstanden habe.
Er hat mehr wie ein halbes Jahr Geld, Zeit, Nerven und vor allem Liebe investiert. Er war jeden tag unten und hat sich um sie gekümmert. Er hat Knieschmerzen gehabt, er war müde, aber er hat nie aufgehört sich mit ihr zu beschäftigen. Er wollte mit Lucy nach Sardinien fahren -sich seinen 3 wöchigen Traumurlaub zu erfüllen und hat alles mit der Liebe zum Detail geplant und auch gebucht !
Warum schreibe ich das alles ? Ich habe keinen Motorrad Führerschein und möchte ihn nach dem Verlust meines Mannes auch nicht mehr machen.
Nach wirklich langen intensiven Überlegungen auch innerhalb der Familie haben wir uns entschlossen : Lucy hat es verdient von jemandem gefahren zu werden der ähnlich wie Marcus denkt, lebt und im besten Fall seine nicht gelebten Träume verwirklicht.
somit steht nun der Verkauf an

Marcus hat ebenso viele Motorrad Sachen, die ich auch los lasse und zum Verkauf anbieten möchte.

Ich starte hier auf Facebook innerhalb dieser Gruppe und wünsche mir zu tiefst, dass Lucy und/ oder die zusätzlichen Artikel an Kleidung und Accessoires zum Motorrad, direkt hier in gute Hände abgegeben werden kann.

„Hey, it‘s Gary on Adventure….“
diese Begrüßung haben wir so häufig gehört und gelächelt und uns über Abenteuer, Inhalte, Motorradzubehör und Geschichten von fantastischen Orten gefreut…
„Gary“ unser Vater hat unglaubliches erlebt und auf die Beine gestellt und nun hat er ein neues Kapitel aufgeschlagen…

Leider hat „Gary“ am 14.03.2024 seine letzte Reise angetreten.

Er hatte ein erfülltes und aufregendes Leben, in dem er von seiner Familie von ganzem Herzen geliebt wurde.

Wir haben von der Idee gehört, dass seine Community eine Motorradtour zu seinen Ehren plant und wir hoffen dass so viele wie möglich daran teilnehmen um seinen Traum in die Welt hinaus zu tragen!

Das genaue Datum werden wir Euch allen noch mitteilen!

Wir werden diesen Account anschließend in den Gedenkmodus setzen.

Wir wünschen uns das „Gary on Adventure“ noch viele Menschen inspirieren kann…

Here is my helmet for Lucy, it is the brand new NEXX Helmets X.WED3 Trailmania in Light Sand design. My opinion: It feels great.

I have a very large head, but no problem as there are 3 different helmet shells. It's not just a matter of taking away some padding to make it fit, there's also a larger shell in my size. The weight is still good at 1650g. It is a full carbon helmet. The noise is also pleasant, so far I haven't noticed any problems.

The shield is stable, but still removable and adjustable. You can also expand it with an attachment.

Until now all thumbs up 🆙👍🏻

My new Helmet for Season 2024 has arrived.

It’s the NEXX X.WED 3 “Keyo” Blue / Red MT

I guess this Design will match perfectly to Betsy.

Not as nice as Betsy and Lucy, but that’s were I spent my time today. Getting my Black Bamba (BMW F11) repaired again. At least I got some work done and reached the High Pressure Pump. That’s that rosty lid at the center right. A lot more to go…

What can I say... it's just so much better, especially in the midrange. Since it's not fully retracted yet, I haven't pushed it out to the limits yet. But for shure it’s worth to do it.

The winter time in Germany is coming to an end, and since yesterday the season drivers have woken up again and the 2024 season has begun. Time for me to close the 2023 chapter.

I have used the last few months intensively to build up and prepare my tenere. It will be finally put together next week.

It won't be long before I set off for Sardinia. So it's time to prepare the equipment, optimize it here and there and look ahead.

This year I would also like to offer some of you as beginners the opportunity to get a taste of my world with me.

End of August 26.08. until 07.09. I'm planning to go to the Susa Valley in Italy and stay there for 1-2 weeks. From here I will offer you the opportunity to move your motorcycle off the road with my help and get to incredibly beautiful places. Check the Pictures all taken around Susa.

If you are interested, please write to me personally.

Otherwise, it's now time to pack my things and move on to the final planning of the upcoming adventures. The adventure is the least plannable because the first thing that falls by the wayside is the plan.

So all that remains is excellent equipment in the best condition with a properly maintained motorcycle. Whatever happens, I'm ready.

It's not just Lucy that is equipped with a high-quality suspension . Betsy also has Touratech Tractiv suspension front and rear. Completely electronically adjustable as in the series. Touratech Suspension

1000 km Service is done, ready for 10k of awesome adventures. But actually there is one more little thing Lucy will receive. Throttle Punks is going to have a look at her ECU and they will also swap her air filter to the rally edition. In summary this will give Lucy a little push. After this Power Kit is done, she will have +7Hp and +9Nm more in here heart.

It was a long and again interesting day at the HQ of Touratech. Lucy reached her 100 % everthing is done, no more issues, no more upgrades at this moment. I will assist Frank on his T7 so he will also be ready to join me on Sardinia and Corsica in a few weeks. Touratech Suspension Tractive Extreme on Lucy has been installed, many thanks to Lui how did a great job as always. She also got her Defenser Hand Guards and we installed a mechanical cruise control. I found a great solution to adapt my Cam to Lucy.
