খুব ছোট্ট একটা উপকূলীয় শহর এই লাগোস।
লাগোসের ২য় দিনে এক্সপ্লোর করলাম এর হিস্টরিকাল সিটি সেন্টার আর প্রায়া দ্যা বাটাটা নামের বীচ।
লাগোস খুবই টুরিস্টফ্রেন্ডলি শহর আর সিটি সেন্টারের আশেপাশে প্রচুর রেস্টুরেন্ট । আমরা স্টে করেছিলাম প্রায়া দ্যা বাটাটা বীচ থেকে প্রায় ১০ মিঃ হাঁটা দূরত্বে, তাই আশে পাশের সব বিচগুলো ছিল আমাদের জন্য এক্সেসেব্ল। প্রায় ২০০ মিটার লম্বা এই বীচ জুড়ে ছিল হাজারো রকম অদ্ভুত সুন্দর সব রক ফরমেশন। সমুদ্রের প্রবল ঢেউয়ের প্রভাবে তৈরি হওয়া এসব বিচিত্র রক ফরমেশন আর গুহাগুলো লো টাইদের সময় এক্সপ্লোর করার তর সইছিল না 😍

Lagos is a tiny coastal city.
On Day 2 of Lagos, we explored its historic city center and Praia da Batata beach.
Lagos is a very tourist-friendly city with many restaurants around the city center. We stayed about a 10-minute walk from Praia da Batata Beach, so all the nearby beaches were accessible to us. This 200-meter-long beach was surrounded by thousands of strange and beautiful rock formations. We could not wait to explore during low tide these amazing rock formations and caves created by the strong waves of the sea. 😍

আটলান্টিক সাগরের একদম পাশে, মূল ভূখণ্ড ইউরোপের সাউথ-ওয়েস্টার্নমোস্ট শহর লাগোস, অর্থাৎ এরপর আর কোন শহর নেই, সাগর শুরু। লিসবন থেকে প্রায় ৩০০ কিমি দূরে এই শহর। উপকূলীয় শহর হওয়ায় লাগোস জুড়ে রয়েছে অসংখ্য বীচ 😍

At the very edge of the Atlantic Ocean, Lagos, the South-Westernmost city of mainland Europe, means that there is no other city beyond that and the sea begins from here. This city is about 300 km away from Lisbon. Being a coastal city, Lagos is dotted with beaches 😍

বেলেম টাওয়ার আর লিসবনে আমাদের শেষ বিকেল...
16 শতকে নির্মিত এই দুর্গ মূলত তৈরি হয়েছিল লিসবন শহরকে শত্রু জাহাজ থেকে রক্ষা করার জন্য। হাই টাইদের সময় যখন পানি চারপাশ থেকে টাওয়ারটিকে ঘিরে ফেলে তখন কিন্তু দেখতে বেশ লাগে, মনে হয় ঠিক যেন পানির উপর ভাস্মান একটি বিল্ডিং 😍

Had an amazing afternoon at the Carris Museum in Lisbon! We skipped the crowded Tram 28 and instead enjoyed a special ride on a vintage tram just for museum visitors. It was such a unique experience to see the history of trams unfold, from their humble beginnings to the various models over the years. Learning about Lisbon's public transport while avoiding the usual tourist crowds made our visit extra special. Highly recommend this hidden gem for anyone visiting the city 😍

If you are looking for a cool place to hang out in Lisbon then this is the right one. It’s called LX Factory. It's one of the most vibrant and eclectic cultural and creative hubs. It's actually the grounds of a 19th-century industrial complex but in 2008 the old industrial buildings were repurposed to house a variety of businesses, including shops, restaurants, bars, offices, and galleries. This place also offers a diverse culinary scene 🤩

সিন্ট্রা শহর জুড়ে বেশ কিছু হিস্টরিকাল সাইট থাকলেও, সময় স্বল্পতার জন্য সব এক্সপ্লোর করা হয়ে উঠেনি । তবে কিছু সাইট ছিল যেগুলা মিস করা উচিৎ হবে না ভেবে সেভাবেই প্ল্যান সাজিয়েছিলাম । যদিও কিছুটা সন্দিহান ছিলাম সময় নিয়ে !

আর তাই পেনা প্যালেস আর মুরিশ ক্যাসেলের পর নাকে মুখে লাঞ্চ গুঁজে চলে গেলাম কুইন্টা দ্যা রিগেলাইরা ক্যাসেলের দিকে। তবে এই ক্যাসেলের মূল আকর্ষণ কিন্তু ক্যাসেল নয়, একটা রহস্যময় সর্পিলাকার কুয়া (ইনিশিয়েটরি ওয়েল) ।

পুরো ক্যাসেল এলাকার প্রায় বেশীরভাগ জায়গা জুড়েই আছে বন, আর আছে বেশ কিছু পুরনো দেব-দেবতাদের মূর্তি, রিগেলাইরা টাওয়ার, মূল ক্যাসেল, আরও বেশ কিছু টাওয়ার, ইনিশিয়েটরি ওয়েল, ওয়েলের সাথে কানেক্টেড বেশ কিছু টানেল আর ল্যাবিরিন্থ । এই সমস্ত কিছুর ইতিহাস আসলে বলে শেষ করার মত না।
তবে যেটা দেখার জন্য এই ক্যাসেল ভিজিটে যাওয়া তা হল এর সর্পিলাকার ইনিশিয়েটরি ওয়েল । নামে ওয়েল বা কুয়া হলেও এটা আসলে কোন ট্র্যাডিশনাল ওয়েল নয়। এটি পৃথিবীর গভীরে যাত্রার প্রতিনিধিত্ব করে বলে মনে করা হয়, সম্ভবত মৃত্যু এবং পুনর্জন্মের প্রতীক বা আলোকিত হওয়ার পথ। ধাপের সংখ্যা, কূপের নকশা এবং অন্যান্য উপাদানগুলি বিশ্লেষণ করলে নাকি অন্তত তাই বোঝা যায়। যেমন কারো কারো মতে, এই কূপের নয়টি প্ল্যাটফর্ম নাকি দান্তের নরকের নয়টি স্তরকে প্রতিনিধিত্ব করে! ইতিহাস ঘাঁটলে এমনি আরও হরেক রকম ব্যাখ্যা পাওয়া যাবে।

সে যাই হোক, আলোআঁধারির এই ইনিশিয়েটরি ওয়েলের সিঁড়ি দিয়ে নিচে নামতে নামতে মনে হচ্ছিল যেন ফিরে গিয়েছিলাম, সেই ফ্রিম্যাসনরি এবং রহস্যবাদের যুগে 😍

Although there are several historical sites throughout Sintra, we couldn't explore them all due to lack of time. But we realized, some sites should not be missed visiting, so we arranged the plan accordingly. Although we were a bit skeptical about managing the time!

And so, after Pena Palace and Moorish Castle, we swallowed our lunch somehow and went to the Quinta da Rigelira Castle. However, the main attraction of this castle is not the castle itself, but a mysterious spiral well (initiative well).

Most of the castle area is covered with forest, and there are several ancient statues of gods and goddesses, Rigelira Tower, the main castle building, several other towers, several tunnels and labyrinths connected to the initiatory well. The history of all these things is not to be concluded.
But what makes this castle visit worth seeing is its spiral initiatory well. However this well is not a traditional well. It represents a journey deep into the earth, perhaps symbolizing death and rebirth or the path to enlightenment. At least that's what an analysis of the number of stages, well design and other factors suggests. For example, according to some, the nine platforms of this well represent the nine levels of Dante's Inferno! If you go through the history, you will find many more explanations like this.

Be that as it may, descending the steps of this initiatory well of light and darkness felt like stepping back into the age of Freemasonry and mysticism 😍

পেনা প্যালেসের পর বাকেট লিস্টে ছিল এই "মুরিশ ক্যাসেল"।

৮ম শতাব্দীতে মূলত 'মুর'রা তৈরি করেছিল এই ক্যাসেল । সেই সময়কার স্পেন এবং পর্তুগালের ইসলাম ধর্মের অধিবাসীরাই মুর নামে পরিচিত ছিল। মুররা জাতিগতভাবে ছিল সমৃদ্ধশালী এবং বিজ্ঞান, গণিত, স্থাপত্য, কৃষি এবং দর্শনে উল্লেখযোগ্য অগ্রগতি নিয়ে এসেছিল।

মুরিশ ক্যাসেল অবশ্য তারই প্রমান বহন করে। ক্যাসেলটি তার বিশাল পাথরের দেয়ালের জন্য পরিচিত যা সিন্ট্রা পর্বতমালার রিজলাইন জুড়ে বিস্তৃত । এটি মেইন টাউন থেকে প্রায় ৫০০ মি উঁচু চূড়ায় অবস্থিত ।

ক্যাসেল ভিজিটের সবচেয়ে মজার ব্যাপার হচ্ছে, শ্বাসরুদ্ধকর প্যানোরামিক ভিউ। ক্যাসেলের দেয়াল থেকে, সিন্ট্রা শহর, সিন্ট্রা-ক্যাসকেস ন্যাচারাল গার্ডেন এবং এমনকি দূরের আটলান্টিক সাগরের কোস্টলাইনও চোখে পড়ে 😍

After Pena Palace, this "Moorish Castle" was on our bucket list.

This castle was originally built by the 'Moors' in the 8th century. The Muslim people of Spain and Portugal at that time were known as Moors. The Moors were racially prosperous and brought significant advances in science, mathematics, architecture, agriculture and philosophy.

Moorish Castle, however, bears witness to that. The castle is known for its massive stone walls spanning the Sintra Mountains' ridgeline. It is situated on a peak about 500 m above the main town.

The highlight of the castle visit is the breathtaking panoramic view. The city of Sintra, the Sintra-Cascais Natural Gardens and even the distant Atlantic coastline can be seen from the castle walls 😍

উজ্জ্বল হলুদ আর লাল রঙের এই 'পেনা প্যালেস' দেখার অপেক্ষা ছিল বহুদিনের। বহু আগেই নেট ঘেঁটে কেটে রেখেছিলাম প্যালেস ভিজিটের টিকিট ।

হিস্টরিকাল আর কালচারাল সিগ্নিফিকেন্সের জন্য পেনা প্যালেস জায়গা করে নিয়েছে ইউনেস্কো ওয়ার্ল্ড হেরিটেজ সাইটে ।

We were eagerly waiting to visit the bright yellow and red colored 'Pena Palace' for many days. So, I booked the palace visit ticket online a long ago.

Pena Palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its historical and cultural significance.

লিসবন শহর থেকে ২৬ কিলো দূরে, পর্তুগালের পশ্চিম উপকূলে গেলে দেখা মিলবে "কাবো দ্যা রোকা" নামের এই ক্লিফের। এটাই নাকি মূল ভূখণ্ড ইউরোপের ওয়েস্টার্নমোস্ট (পশ্চিমতম) পয়েন্ট । তার মানে, এইখানেই ভূমি শেষ এবং আটলান্টিক সমুদ্র শুরু ।

লিসবন শহর থেকে ৪০ মিনিটের ট্রেন জার্নি করে সিন্ত্রা এবং এরপর সেখান থেকে আরও ৪০ মিনিটের বাস জার্নির পর পৌঁছলাম এই "কাবো দ্যা রোকা"। গুগল ঘাঁটলে চোখে পরবে ১৭৭২ সালে নির্মিত কাবো দা রোকা লাইটহাউসটি। পর্তুগালের সবচেয়ে পুরনো লাইটহাউস গুলোর মধ্যে এটা একটি।

26 km from Lisbon city, on the west coast of Portugal, you will find this cliff named "Cabo da Roca". This is the westernmost point of mainland Europe. That means, this is where the land ends and the Atlantic Ocean begins.

After a 40-minute train journey from Lisbon to Sintra and another 40-minute bus journey from there, we arrived at Cabo da Roca. If you google about it you will notice the Cabo da Roca lighthouse built in 1772. It is one of the oldest lighthouses in Portugal.

আলফামা লিসবনের খুব পুরনো এলাকাগুলোর মধ্যে একটি। সরু, ঘোরা রাস্তা, বেশকিছু হিস্ট্রিকাল বিল্ডিং এর জন্য পরিচিত এই আলফামা । সরু অলি-গলিতে হাঁটতে হাঁটতে চোখে পড়ল ঐতিহ্যবাহী পর্তুগিজ সংস্কৃতি আর আধুনিক জীবনের এক প্রাণবন্ত মিশ্রণ।
'ফাডো' নামের এক ধরণের সঙ্গীতের জন্যও বিখ্যাত এই আলফামা, যা অনেক স্থানীয় বার এবং রেস্তোরাঁয় শুনতে পারা যায়।

লিসবনে প্রথম দিনের তাপমাত্রা ছিল ৩৫ ছুই ছুই , আলফামার উচু-নিচু রাস্তা দিয়ে হাঁটতে হাঁটতে হাঁপিয়ে উঠছিলাম। কিছু কিছু রাস্তার এলিভেশন ছিল খাড়া পাহাড়ের মত! কিন্তু রঙিন টাইলস এবং ঝুলন্ত লন্ড্রি দিয়ে সাজান গলি পথ দেখতে কিন্তু বেশ ভালো লাগছিল 😍

Alfama is one of Lisbon's oldest neighborhoods. Alfama is known for its narrow, winding streets and some historical buildings. Walking down the narrow alleyways, one can see a lively mix of traditional Portuguese culture and modern life.

Alfama is also famous for 'fado' music, which can be heard in many local bars and restaurants.

The temperature on the first day in Lisbon was almost 35 degrees Celsius, we were panting as we walked through the narrow streets of Alfama. The elevation of some streets was like a steep hill! Although the alleyway decorated with colorful tiles and hanging laundry made the journey pretty good 😍

ভরা সামারে ব্ল্যাক ফরেস্ট অভিযানে গেলেও, ভরা শীতে ফরেস্টের চেহারা দেখার ইচ্ছা ছিল বহুদিনের (!!)
সেই সাধ মেটাতে ডিসেম্বরের কনকনে ঠাণ্ডায়, বড়দিনের ছুটিতে চড়ে বসলাম ট্রেনে। পাহাড় এবং উপত্যকা জুড়ে বিস্তৃত আল্বস্টাড নামের একটা ছোট্ট শহরে স্টে করলাম আর অপেক্ষা করলাম বরফের চাদরে ঢাকা সাদা পাহাড় আর বন দেখার (!)

আর সবশেষে বলব একটা ইন্টারেস্টিং ফ্যাক্ট , আমরা 'ব্ল্যাক ফরেস্ট' নামের যে সুস্বাদু কেক টা খেয়ে থাকি, তার উৎপত্তি কিন্তু এই ব্ল্যাক ফরেস্ট অঞ্চল থেকেই ! এটা চকোলেট স্পঞ্জ কেক, যা হুইপড ক্রিম, চেরি এবং কির্শওয়াসার নামক একটি চেরি ব্র্যান্ডির স্তর দিয়ে তৈরি হয়ে থাকে ।

কোবুর্গ শহরের অন্যতম আকর্ষণ ভেস্টে কোবুর্গ নামের এই ক্যাসেলটি। এটি জার্মানির সবচেয়ে বড় এবং সর্বোত্তম সংরক্ষিত মধ্যযুগীয় দুর্গগুলির মধ্যে একটি।

হেঁটে বেড়াচ্ছি ছবির মত সুন্দর শহর কোবুর্গে আর এর ওল্ড টাউনের অলি-গলিতে। একদম রোদ ঝলমলে একটা দিন ঠিক যেন বব রসের কোন একটা ক্যানভাস 😁

It was just a spur of the moment. We decided to ride along the darkness of midnight. We followed the google maps blindly and dug through the murky roads along the park. It seemed like a forest in the dark and maybe we were scared a little🤣
We didn't catch sight of any aurora but some crazy blue stars running like a child and suddenly vanished!

And last but not least we witnessed a shooting star for the first time in our lives 😍

That's how we wrapped up the day, with the magic of a shooting star and hearts full of joy ❤️

I saw a quote once "You can not add days to your life but you can add life to your days."
When I was young I wanted to live a life of luxury and once I have grown I've recognized that true luxury lies in finding peace.
Now I want to have an ordinary life. However, not all caught up in what the crowd says we should do, but just doing us, keeping it real, and finding our zen.

Cheers to the days we struggled together, holding our hands, walking side by side, also to the days when we had our differences.

Explore the great lake Balaton in Hungary 🤩

সূর্য ডুবে সন্ধ্যা নামার সাথে সাথে লেকের ওই পারের শহর গুলোতে টিমটিম করে জ্বলে উঠছিল সোনালি আলো। আর এইপাশের পাহাড়ে অন্ধকারের চাদর। ভাবছিলাম অন্ধকার হওয়ার পর খুব একঘেয়েমি লাগবে, কিন্তু রাতের আকাশের দিকে চেয়ে এক মুহূর্তও সময় পাই নি বিরক্ত হবার 😍
যতই অন্ধকার গাড় হচ্ছিল ততই তারায় তারায় ছেয়ে যাচ্ছিল পুরো আকাশ । ঘন্টার পর ঘন্টা আমরা তাকিয়ে রয়লাম সেইদিকে। What a wonderful charm the silence holds.....❤️
As the sun went down, the cities on the other side of the lake were illuminated by golden lights. And the mountains around here started to be covered by the blanket of darkness. We thought it would be boring after dark, but trust me, we didn't have a moment to get bored while gazing at the night sky.
As it was getting darker, the whole sky was being covered with stars. We stared at it for hours after hours. What a wonderful charm the silence holds.....❤️

Day-3 at Budapest : vlog 3🍻
One of the biggest relaxing thermal baths in Europe 😍

🌿এক সময় বুদাপেস্টের কেন্দ্রস্থলে, এমন একটি জায়গা ছিল যেখানকার পানিতে গোসল করলে হিলিং পাওয়ার এবং রিজুভিনেশন(পুনর্জীবন) লাভ করা যেত। এটাকে বলা হত থার্মাল বাথ, যাদের উৎস ছিল প্রাকৃতিক ঝর্ণা। আর এই থার্মাল বাথের গল্পটা শুরু হয়েছিল যখন রোমানদের মতো প্রাচীন সভ্যতাগুলি প্রাকৃতিক ঝর্ণাগুলির এই বৈশিষ্ট্যগুলি সম্পর্কে জানতে পারে, যাদের পানি ছিল উষ্ণ এবং সাথে বহন করত ক্যালসিয়াম, ম্যাগনেসিয়ামের মত আরও অনেক প্রাকৃতিক মিনারেল।
আর বুদাপেস্ট ভ্রমণের শেষ দিনে চলে গেলাম ইউরোপের সবচেয়ে বড় আর বিখ্যাত একটা থার্মাল বাথে।
ন্যাচারাল এই হট স্প্রিঙে শরীর আর মনকে কিছুটা শিথিল করার পর রাতের দানিউবে নদী দেখতে রিভার ক্রজে বের হলাম আর বিদায় জানালাম এই মায়ার শহর, বুদাপেস্টকে ❤️

Day-2 at Budapest : vlog 2🍻

কেন দ্যানুব নদীর তীরে ৬০ জোড়া জুতোর সমাহারে তৈরি হল মেমোরিয়াল !!!

🌿 পরদিন সকালবেলা দানিউবের পাশ দিয়ে হাঁটতে হাঁটতে চোখে পড়ল "শুস অন দানিউব ব্যাংক" নামের এই স্মৃতিস্তম্ভ, যা দ্বিতীয় বিশ্বযুদ্ধের সময়কার এক ভয়াবহ আর মর্মান্তিক দিনের চিহ্ন হিসেবে আজও রয়ে গেছে ।

এরপর চলে গেলাম বহুল প্রতীক্ষিত বুদাপেস্ট পার্লামেন্ট বিল্ডিং এর ভিতরটা ঘুরে দেখতে। স্বর্ণে মোড়ান ভিতরের দেয়ালগুলো দেখে মাথা ঘুরানোর মতই অবস্থা তখন আমাদের ! 😍

কেন জেলেদের নামে নামকরণ করা হল বুদাপেস্টের ঐতিহাসিক মনুমেন্টের ??!!

🌿ওয়েস অ্যান্ডারসনের সিনেমাটিক মাস্টারপিস, 'দ্য গ্র্যান্ড বুদাপেস্ট হোটেল' যেদিন দেখেছিলাম, সেদিন থেকেই ইচ্ছা ছিল এই মায়ার শহর ঘুরে দেখার। যদিও পরে জানতে পারলাম মুভির স্পট আসলে বুদাপেস্ট নয়, জার্মানি । তাতে কিন্তু বুদাপেস্ট ভ্রমণের আগ্রহ একটু কমেনি।
এই শহরে পা রাখার পর বুঝতে পারলাম, কল্পনা থেকে এক বিন্দুও কম সুন্দর নয় ! কেমন যেন একটা খুব পরিচিত পুরনো গন্ধ শহর জুড়ে ❤️
