I was finally able to capture an image of the northern lights here in Southern Germany 😍✨
A few years ago I didn‘t even think that this was ever going to be possible. Then there was this huge geomagnatic storm in May and I was pretty bummed that I missed it coz I was on vacation and so in the mode I wouldn‘t receive anything of the outer world 😂 Normally this would be a good thing 😅 I was especially bummed because we would have had such an amazing location for it - by a wonderful lake and with almost zero light pollution 🥲
Finding and shooting the northern lights here at home would prove to be quite difficult as the light pollution is pretty bad 🙈 But with a lot of driving around I somehow managed. It is safe to say that it was mainly luck as this was the first shot on the final location and on every following shot the light was lower and then after a few completely gone 😅
I am pretty stoked about the result but also very aware that with a bit more preperation it will be even better 😇 So here‘s to an awesome start and and even better next time where I might even get some timelapse then ✊🏼
