Benthic Lifeforce Records debut album "Sanguine" up now for pre-order as very limited Vinyl LP edition and digital pre-save!

"Sanguine" is set to be released on February 28th on all digital platforms, while Vinyl is scheduled to be shipped around March 14th!

Consisting of two guitars, bass, drums and a powerful singer, BENTHIC playing a mixture of powerful hardcore and grooving metal with sustaining melodies. Dark guitar walls and angry roars are constantly being broken down to give room for emotions. An association with the elemental forces of maritime nature in all its beauty and brutality.

Some of you may recognise some familiar faces and you’re right. The band, featuring founding member Sebastian Formella of long-defunct German metal core act DESTINY aka THE DESTINY PROGRAM and Siegmar Holzfuß of progressive rock act EDEN CIRCUS, was formed in Hamburg in 2012.

Taking a long period of writing, countless rehearsals and a few line-up changes, they finally joined as BENTHIC in 2014. Their debut EP called “THE MESS” was released in 2016.

After a long break, BENTHIC now has found a new label home at LIFEFORCE RECORDS and will be back in 2025 with the first full-length “SANGUINE”. With this work, which has matured in complexity and arrangements, BENTHIC wants to create new horizons and is looking forward to a future large and small stages of this world.

Hello all,
here with a short update. Again, thanks to all who have contributed so far, ordered from the shop or simply shared this campaign. We are already over halfway through the campaign target! YOU ARE THE BEST! 🖤❤️🖤

Some people have asked, what the donations are used for. In fact, pretty basic things such as warehouse rent, insurance, etc… If you will, the day to day expenses, that not necessarily have to do with an album release first hand, but monthly coming back and at the end having much more impact on how the label runs than it looks like. What goes into that recurring expenses is somewhat missing for truly label and release related things.

For that reason I can’t thank you enough for all your support, cause this is really taking some pressure off my shoulders.

Hi, my name is Stefan and I'm the owner of somewhat well established metal label Lifeforce Records, who helped to put bands like Trivium, Heaven Shall Burn, Between The Buried And Me, Caliban, Deadlock and many more on the map of the heavy music landscape.

Times have never been easy for the label, it was basically started when the golden era of music business was already fading, but we managed to keep the flag high over the years anyway.

Fast forward until present, as literally a one man army it is a daily struggle to maintain the level of professionalism, which Lifeforce Records has stood for over the past almost 30 years.

Unfortunately, the external circumstances do not necessarily work for a comparatively small label. The flame is still burning and dedication not lost, however, massively increased costs make it very difficult to continue to run Lifeforce Records as a first-class address for heavy music these days. I know, it is called capitalism and the big sharks eat the small fishes, but is this really what people want, DIY-labels dying out and only the big players to stay?

I definitely didn't make the decision easy to ask for help this way, but maybe there are a few people who want to see Lifeforce being around for another 3 decades.

Any help is welcome, whether you buy something from the Lifeforce Records shop (which by far is the best way), leave a few bucks here for your "favorite label" or simply share this campaign. I can promise you one thing, I will continue to provide you with music, on the current scale or on a smaller level.
