As we've already announced, we have got some great news for you. After a number of negotiations, Scaffold has closed some deals and we are finally ready to share the information with you. With a lot of enthusiasm, we are starting a new chapter of the band where we will be collaborating with a selected team of labels to best present our new album "Codex Gigas" somewhere around March of 2021.

Brazilian label Old Shadows Records will release and distribute the CD on South American territory while Russian label Satanath Records (www.facebook.com/symbolofdomination) will cover the rest of the world with their version of the CD.

Sometime later our German partner Silent Watcher Records will release the album on vinyl.

And last but not least, for all of you old-school cassette freaks, we will have 2 editions of "Codex Gigas" released on tape. One will be brought to you by Malaysian 𝔔𝔞𝔩𝔞𝔮𝔞𝔰 𝔅𝔩𝔞𝔠𝔨 𝔄𝔯𝔱 𝔓𝔯𝔬𝔡𝔲𝔠𝔱𝔦𝔬𝔫𝔰 while the other one will be a joint effort of young and promising Serbian label NecroVoid Records and their partner in crime Worship The Abyss from Croatia.

¡La esencia de la vieja escuela se hace presente con el fascinante álbum de Anguish Sublime!

Mención honorifica para uno de los lanzamientos que nos ha dejado noviembre, no lo había incluido a la recopilación final, ya que quería escuchar y disfrutar de cada detalle de esta pieza que era una de las que más esperaba. El álbum fue lanzado a inicios de noviembre, pero inicialmente fue distribuido en formato físico y apenas hace unas horas la banda lo ha subido a su Bandcamp oficial y vaya que es una pieza que no puedo dejar desapercibido, ya que es una pieza memorable y agradable para los seguidores de la vieja escuela.

Como se los había presentado hace unas semanas, esta banda es originaria de Novi Sad, Serbia, ya cuenta con un amplio recorrido en el género, ya que sus inicios se remontan a 1998, surgen dentro de todo el esplendor del género y su propuesta se ha caracterizado por capturar esa esencia, aunque un poco más encaminada hacía el Atmospheric, muy al estilo de Garden of Shadows. Aunque en este trabajo, traen una propuesta donde las melodías relucen a la perfección, muy al estilo del 'Sonido de Gotemburgo'.

Después de algunos años dentro del género y de haber publicado 2 Ep's por fin podemos escuchar su primera producción de larga duración titulada "Maelstrom Imperium", la cual fue lanzada través del sello alemán Silent Watcher Records. Y vaya que es una pieza que te capturara entre 9 tracks sublimes, creando una pieza sólida que te hará recordar con mucha nostalgia la vieja esencia del Melodic Death. En total, son 50 minutos para disfruta de un álbum variado en velocidades, pero en general mantienen una velocidad constante, donde destacan una fascinante carga de melodías, con algunas atmósferas que capturan los sonidos del universo, que además este elemento es parte fundamental en el trabajo lírico del álbum. Vaya que he disfrutado de cada track, ya que al ir avanzando, la banda aumenta un nivel más en ejecución, demostrando mucho virtuosismo en su estructura musical guiada por la esencia de la vieja escuela, muy al estilo sueco, claro la banda crea una esencia propia que sin duda será del agrado de los seguidores de la vieja guardia del género.
