Destructive Agency is a part of a larger experience questionning the future of music.

We - and some others managing agencies - are part of a bigger compagny and were created to think and test how to transform the future of music in a way which is not based on stock options for Wall Streey sharks.

But the fact is that there is too much people in these industry who are too lazy to change the rules :
- labels without ambitions
- bands wanting to be the next Metallica without their abilities for hard work
- listeners who think music was better times ago but don't listen to anything recorded past 2000.

We will continue to manage artists under deal with us. We will continue to give free advices and help for those who'll ask for. But it's time for us to think in other ways...

Good luck for those who aren't afraid to break their bad habits. And for the others, see you where the flush leads !

The Manager's Tip - episode III : what the right bill ?

Album production : sorry for your passionnate pal making cool sound when he gets some free time, a production cheaper than 3000€ (for EU) will probably not be enough.

Visual stuff : we are living in a world of forms. You need photo, call a photographer. You need a graphism, call a graphist. Your friend with a reflex and photoshop is not enough.

Everything : at least a grateful "thank you" or you are an *ssh*le

Music industry is full of “amateurs”. And it's cool. But “amateurism” kills YOUR music.

Music is a hobby : do it for free ?

The reality of business actors is that it can't be taken seriously if it is free. Whatever you are doing, you have to be paid. At least – for example with charity gigs – what it costs you.

If you do not want to take this as a divine commandment you'll be outcasted for sure !

Be kind to yourself : your work has a value superior to zero. That's all !

Next week : what have you to do by yourself and what have you to pay for ? And most important, what is the right cost of things ?

♟ Have different passwords for your mail, facebook, etc. Change them every 3 months.
At least 12 characters but 16 is better => cyber-pirates exist and as you'll grow, as you'll be a target for haters

♟♟ Create a google/youtube account with your real name and ID verification then...

♟♟♟ Export each step of your musical production as a .avi video file. Then upload it on YouTube as a private clip.
Doing it is a legal proof of the anteriority of a song if someone steals it.
