1st Oktober. The "season of the bad guys club" has has just started. ☠️ 🖤

Every year, artist Craig Gleason publishes “The List” on Instagram and challenges fellow artists to post an illustration every day in October. First because it´s fun. And second because he silently enjoys seeing illustrators suffer all over the world. If you're expecting a daily illustration from me, prepare to be dissapointed (my delicate hands are not used to this kind of hard physical labour and I have to sleep, eat, binge and earn money every now and then). But I will probably help one or two creatures to see the light of day. So welcome to the hungry ghoul as he fortifies himself for the grueling spooky season.

Zurück im Büro. Hatte viel Zeit über gewichtige Dinge nachzudenken. Werde mich jetzt – selbstverständlich – voller Elan und mit zehnfacher Energie zurück an die Arbeit begeben. Meer und Sand und Mövengeschrei sind sowieso vollkommen überbewertet! … Hurrah! 🦀🖤

Imagine you're a lawyer and you're legally required to cut someone's hair once a year. And not just like that, but the result must be a perfect haircut. Or just assume you are an IT expert and have to remove the engine from a car and replace it with a new one every three months. And if you don't, you'll have to pay a lot of fines. Imagine that you are a tax advisor and you have to create a one-page illustration every quarter (300dpi, CMYK, half page magazine size) and once a year you have to design a 10 page brochure with 5 illustrated vignettes each and a full page illustration as well as a cover photo and perfect implemented typography. Printable of course and can also be used as a web banner. If you (tax advisor with a lot of professional experience and a good reputation) do not deliver these illustrations regularly and on time, no errors(!), you will face very harsh legal consequences, sometimes even threatening to your professional existence.
..Well, that's what it feels like to do the tax as a german freelance designer and illustrator.

You, the tax advisor, have probably already explained it to me 1000 times and you have shown me exactly how it works. But that doesn't necessarily mean that I'm good at it now, or that I enjoy doing it, or that I won't ask questions anymore because you've already answered my questions many times. It simply means that I, the full-time, professional designer and illustrator, pay you (tax advisor) to do and explain a job for me that I am legally forced to do and that I don't have the slightest idea of and for which I do not have the least interest or talent.

That is why I would appreciate it very much if you explained it to me for the 1001st time as if I were a toddler who has never heard of any of this and you are patient with the fact that my brain isn't designed for this s***t at all.

Die Ackercrowd ist ein Expert*innenkollektiv, das Landwirt*innen dabei unterstütz, Ackerflächen in wirtschaftlich tragfähige Ökosysteme umzuwandeln. Sie schafft die Struktur, die für die Anpassung von Kulturlandschaften an die Herausforderungen der Klimakrise nötig ist. Landwirtschaft kann auch im großen Maßstab ökologisch, wirtschaftlich, sozial und nachhaltig sein.

Ich durfte das Team der Ackercrowd mit einem Workshop bei der Ausformulierung ihrer Zielsetzung und bei der Definition einer neuen Corporate Identity inkl. neuem Design- und Illustrationskonzept unterstützen.
