Mixed emotions, vibes and grooves that have developed over the years. In the middle of it all: Hike DJ, music lover since 1989.

In this long time, he had several names that he assigned to the respective genres. His journey started in the 70s/80s where he was very much influenced by his father who was a big music lover and disc jockey himself, including Technics MKII. He passed on these influences to his young son. In 1993, Hike DJ started raging through the Techno/House BOOM, his career in the local clubs and events in Fre

iburg and the surrounding area started rolling. Initially, the journey went from techno, acid, hard trance, progressive house to gabba, hardcore techno to breakbeat and jungle. Yes, even the harder stuff was consumed, it was just the new hot s**t :)
Gradually, the style shifted towards House and Techno. Many records were bought and the shelf got bigger and bigger. In the 2000s, DJing became more regular and national. House, tech/house, electro clash characterised the many club nights and big/events from now on. With names like Westbam, DJ Hell, Moonbootica, Lexy&Kpaul, Mandy, DJ T, Monika Kruse, Kid Alex, Turntablerockers, Rampa and many more, he passed on the turntable needle. During this time, he also created his own production ACIDFASH, which was only released on 23.12.2022 and can be found on the streaming platforms ever since. In 2007, Hike DJ started a monthly event series in a location at the train station in Freiburg. Here, the flyer design was adapted to the event. The flyer design was kept rather minimalistic and had that certain something with the lettering "sayhey" on a black background and changing colours. The location was adapted to the colour scheme. In addition to Hike DJ, guest DJs played: Phonique, Gerd Janson, Lexx and others. In the 2010s, sayhey was replaced by saywhat? Again, the event changed location and vinyl slowly but surely gave way to digital music. In 2013, the DJ trio "JACKING S CREW" was founded. This resulted in several bookings at the beautiful club Schmitz Katze, Waldsee in Freiburg and elsewhere. The focus of the trio was on groovy, pumping 120 BPM house. In the meantime it has become a bit quieter around Hike DJ, but they still have their fingers in the pie and the one or other booking takes place. Stay tuned!!! Feel free to write comments or PM.

Das sind gemischte Gefühle, Vibes und Grooves, die sich über die Jahre entwickelt haben.

Mittendrin: Hike DJ, Musikliebhaber seit 1989. In dieser langen Zeit hatte er mehrere Namen, die er den jeweiligen Genres zuordnete. Seine Reise begann in den 70er/80er Jahren, stark beeinflusst von seinem Vater, der selbst ein großer Musikliebhaber und Discjockey war, inklusive Technics MKII und das dazugehörige Vinyl. Diese Einflüsse gab er an seinen Sohn weiter.

1993 begann Hike DJ, durch den Techno/House-BOOM zu stürmen, seine Karriere in den örtlichen Clubs und bei Veranstaltungen in Freiburg und Umgebung kam ins Rollen. Zunächst führte die Reise von Techno, Acid, Hard Trance, Progressive House zu Gabba, Hardcore Techno bis hin zu Breakbeat und Jungle.
Nach und nach verlagerte sich der Stil in Richtung House und Techno.
Platten wurden gekauft und die Regale wurden immer größer.

Am Samstag wird er uns mit einem nicen House/Afro-House-Set in den Abend GROOVE! ❤️
