Aviation-Event has appointed Candace McGraw, Chair of ACI World Governing Board, Chief Executive Officer of Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG), as our Supervisory Board member. Candace McGraw has over three decades of experience in the airport industry, leading CVG to become the 6th largest cargo airport in North America and the epicenter of U.S. e-commerce. She also serves as Chair of the World Governing Board of Airports Council International.

Ms. McGraw, with her global industry expertise and airport management expertise, will lead Aviation-Event’s mission to drive innovation, collaboration, and growth in the aviation sector.

Aviation-Event had an opportunity to meet Andreas W. Schulz , and discuss about „Current crisis situation at Hamburg airport in regard to the cost factors“ during Abend der Luftfahrt”, or “Evening of Aviation” organized by BDL German Aviation Association.

He quotes „Hamburg Airport, like other airports, has come under scrutiny from airlines. Both airports and airlines in Germany face high operational costs compared to other European countries. Even a moderate fee increase of €2.30 per passenger, such as the one in Hamburg, can significantly impact airlines, which often operate on very thin profit margins. This situation highlights the financial pressures within the aviation industry, where even small cost changes can have substantial effects on profitability”
