DEATH BY GONG on tour, starting next week!
𝗔𝗨𝗔’s second single from their upcoming album “𝗣𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗞𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗥 𝗡𝗢.𝟭” is out today: here’s “𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗦”! Watch the music video directed by Henrik Eichmann and grab one of the limited vinyl editions at the link in our comments.
"A genuine new-wave avant-garde anomaly" — Post-Punk.com
“‘𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗦’ is one of my favorite tracks on the new record,” comments 𝗔𝗨𝗔’s Fabian Bremer, “and I’m impressed by how Henrik pulled off such a stunning video in no time—and on a tight budget of just 15 euros (the cost of three rain capes). The song is a reflection on power and influence, where seeking validation can result in unintended consequences. In the video, you’ll spot our live bassist, Steffen Smirny, but the original bass track was laid down by Sally Brown. Working with Sally was a fun experience, and we’re super grateful for her contribution. Also a big thank you to Dennis and the team at Schlachthof Wiesbaden for making it happen!”
Music written, performed and recorded by Fabian Bremer and Henrik Eichmann. Bass performed and recorded by Sally Brown. Mixed and mastered by Magnus Wichmann. Supported by Initiative Musik gGmbH with project funds from the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media.
DEATH BY GONG - EVERYTHING IS GIVEN
DEATH BY GONG's "Everything Is Given" from the their upcoming album "Descalator" Out Today: A Sudden Upheaval in Sound and Visually Striking Video.
Video compiled by Nicolai Hildebrandt.
"Everything Is Given" captures the feeling of sudden upheaval, where the ground is pulled from beneath you. The track starts with a suspenseful metronomic beat, staccato guitars, and whispered vocals, then escalates into a noise rock assault with wailing guitars, thundering drums, and fuzzy bass. Fans of NINE INCH NAILS, METZ, and THE NOTWIST will find this song an emotional upheaval turned into a musical masterpiece, reflecting the raw reality of unexpected changes.
Jobst: We always aim to tell an interesting story with our videos. For "Everything Is Given," Nicolai had the idea to use old footage he discovered, which fit perfectly with part of the song. We then researched additional material to enhance the story. Nicolai created a cool collage by mixing the best parts, and I love how the segments now work together. The video remains abstract and open to interpretation, which I appreciate. I think this feeling will be common across all three of our videos.

DEATH BY GONG's new single “HEAVY AIR” is OUT NOW! – the first single of their upcoming album “DESCALATOR”.
"HEAVY AIR" is now available on all digital streaming platforms. Links in the comments.
Jobst shares his thoughts about the song:
“’Heavy Air’ is the song with the biggest tension between the lyrical and musical levels of expression. What is probably the most downbeat lyric is contrasted with what might be the most anthemic musical moment on the album – and then dissolves into an ether of synthesised sounds.
The thematic pillars of the song - delusion and disintegration of the self - served as a catalyst for finding the visual influences for the video clip: the F.A.C.S. (Facial Action Coding System) research by Paul Ekman on one hand and the “Voight-Kampff” test sequence from Blade Runner on the other. The latter is something I have been in awe of since first seeing the movie as a teenager.”
“DESCALATOR” will be released on September 20th 2024. Pre-order the limited edition of the album now to get your hands on an exclusive bonus 7-inch!

ENTROPY Kick It Back to the 90s with a Grungegaze Into the Now on New Single “Papered Over Some” from their Upcoming 2nd Album “Dharmakāya”, Dropping August 30, 2024! Premiered via @visionsmagazin and @everything.is.noise
Listen to the new single at the link in our bio.
“Papered Over Some” greets you with a juggernaut of a riff that the band describes as ‘metallic‘ and ‘Helmet-esque‘ a truly pummeling aperture to a track whose spirited sound flutter throughout with assertive grace. It doesn’t take much for the song to settle you into its sonic domain thanks to its effortless swaying between vigor and musing only structured by compelling instrumentation that interweaves hauntingly viscous vocals expressive drumming and clear-cut bass lines.
