A beautiful motionless creature. A butterfly wrapped up in amber. This is one side of the story. On the other side,
there was movement from the very beginning. Wind, steps, light, rain. The image needed time. Concentration, patience. Suddenly motion revealed itself. A slow…motion. Evolving into more and more forms and genres, stories, aesthetics. As it grew up, people started asking for its name. The reply came with a strengthening voice: my name is FASHION FILM.
Today is the last shooting day of our arte reportage about a small village in the Bulgarien mountains. We had the pleasure to work with the living legend Valja balkanska...whose song travels one board of the voyager through the universe.... # documentary.

The day of the grandmother is an ancient fertility ritual in which a young girl is washing the hands of the oldest woman of the village. As the village in which we are shooting our reportage has no more kids, the girl had to come from a neighbouring town...

Dobralak ist ein in den Rhodopen gelegenes Bergdorf in Bulgarien, das seinem eigenen Untergang trotzt. Von ehemals 900 Bewohner:innen sind nur noch 60 übrig. Es gibt keine Schule mehr, viele Häuser stehen leer und die alten Bergpfade wachsen zu. Dennoch wird gerade die älteste Kapelle der Gegend von den Dorfbewohnern restauriert und nächstes Jahr feierlich eröffnet. Ein Prozess, an dem auch die Ältesten noch beteiligt sind.... ich war hier für eine wunderbare Recherche für eine arte 360 Grad Reportage... zusammen mit Deniza Popova.

UKRAINIAN ACTRESS WANTED FOR MUSIC VIDEO IN BERLIN
As an expression of our solidarity with the situation in Ukraine we are working on a personal music video. Therefore we are looking for a young actress (19-26) with Ukrainian roots for the main cast. As there will be no spoken text, you do not necessarily have to have an education as an actor and your background could be different (e.g. dancer / model). The song is in ukrainian language and the shooting will be for 1-2 days in the end of July in and around Berlin.

COLOR GRADER wanted for long documentary film. Hey there… we are looking for you! For more than two years, we accompanied a young couple expecting a child on their way out of homelessness and into a flat of their own. We worked without interviews and off-text and in about 35 days of shooting we created a very intimate, closely observed film with deliberate feature film-like features. At the moment we have a first rough cut and our goal is to complete an uncompromising film in post-production that will first be shown at festivals and later (hopefully) for example on arte. We are Heiko Aufdermauer (ex-HFF Potsdam) and Johannes Girke (ex-UdK Berlin). Now we are looking for you: a COLOR GRADER with an interest in festival cinema and the will to give an intense documentary a subtle twist in the direction of a feature film. So far we have produced the film without any financing – but we collected some money for post production through a startnext campaign. Therefore we can only offer the total of 1 000 € net for color grading. Work will start in octobre 2021 (picture lock). We are looking forward to your message to [email protected].
