Roomer - Dust
video out now !!
the song starts with a crunchy reverberated guitar, which reminds of 90ies sonorities, keeps accompanying the entire song and brings immediately in a new ethereal space. The distant drumming with its simple beat and the layers of noise guide Ronja’s intimate voice. (thanks Piero of @shybits for writing some sentences to their upcoming EP "SKICE" out 9.9. on 10" vinyl)

»After three years in Bern, I was drawn to the north and was very happy about this new beginning. Since I knew almost no one at the beginning, I was alone a lot. I appreciated this seclusion very much. I was happy to be able to choose completely freely which people I wanted to surround myself with and which musical projects I wanted to start. The landscape in Copenhagen is almost entirely flat and you can see very far - very different from Switzerland. It was a great feeling of vastness and silence, of possibilities and freedom that I felt there in the first months. Even though Denmark can be very dark, foggy and cold in winter, I found the silence at that time very soothing and pleasant. I felt like I could finally take a breath and find out what I really wanted. At the same time, I was able to let go of many problems and experiences of the past years and leave them behind. Even though some of the problems might not have been solved, I still felt a sense of serenity that not everything always has to be solved. Isn't that the beauty of real life, that many things are just not perfect and sometimes don't work out? I became aware of the beauty of the constantly changing during this time: everything is constantly evolving and changing, you never arrive anywhere; everything is always in motion. I find this constant change very satisfying and reassuring. In this state, I had the feeling of limitless possibilities and at the same time a great satisfaction of being allowed to live in the moment.«

The 19.02. marks the second anniversary of the assassinations in Hanau. Ata Canani is now releasing a new song together with the band Karaba to mark this sad day of remembrance: "Vom Bospurus bis zum Rhein" (From the Bosphorus to the Rhine), a piece that is nothing less than a German-Turkish song manifesto of integration policy, a cautionary song, but also a conciliatory one: "From the Bosphorus to the Rhine, the sun shines everywhere!", he sings, while the Munich band rolls out their psych-rock riffs.
The song will be released digitally today and in May as a 7-inch single with a Niklas Wandt remix on the flip.
