Established in 2013, MEDIA NEST is a production company based in Prague, Czech Republic. With direct connections to the ¬film industries of Czech Republic, Iran and the United Arab Emirates, MEDIA NEST took the essential steps to provide the chance of further cooperation between the European and the Middle Eastern ¬film industries from the very early stages of its operation. Throughout 2014, the n
egotiations with prominent Iranian producers, film makers and distributors and their European counterparts developed the basis of MEDIA NEST activity in Europe as a co-producer. MEDIA NEST also partnered with the Festival íránských ¬filmů and co-organized an industry program within the festival with a focus on Iranian-Czech co-productions. Thanks to this program, two co-production feature ¬film projects have taken offso far and at the moment, MEDIA NEST acts as the main partner of the festival throughout its preparations and ex*****on. MEDIA NEST also offers a wide range of digital solutions to many ¬film projects that take place in Czech Republic and range from Czech independent documentary and ¬fiction productions to TV series and student projects. o A Very Ordinary Citizen is the third feature ¬lm by Majid Barzegar, the winner of New Directors Award MFF San Sebastian 2011 for his second feature ¬lm, Parviz.
• Co-producer of Cinema Letters (2016, at the stage of production now, British Production),
o Cinema Letters is a feature fi¬lm by Mania Akbari, the winner of the best feature ¬lm in Venice IFF - cinema digital section for 20 Fingers in 2004.
• Co-producer of Aspen of Kabul (2015, at the stage of post production now, a Czech - American co-production),
o Aspen of Kabul is a documentary ¬film by the Afghan fi¬lm director, Omid Marzban.
• Co-organizer of a ¬film workshop with Leila Hatami, winner of best actress Berlin IFF 2011, Karlovy Vary IFF 2012) in Prague, February 2015.
