Starting a relationship can feel uncertain, but the Bible gives us wisdom to know when a connection has God’s backing. Here are five reasons your relationship might already be on the path to success:

1. Shared Faith Keeps You Anchored
When both partners love and trust God, you’re building on a foundation that cannot be shaken. Ecclesiastes 4:12 reminds us, “A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” God at the centre strengthens every challenge you’ll face.

2. Godly Values Align Your Hearts
When your priorities (honesty, respect, patience, and kindness) align, you reduce conflict before it begins. Amos 3:3 asks, “Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so?” Alignment in values sets the stage for harmony.

3. Prayer Confirms the Path
Seeking God’s guidance before committing ensures clarity. James 1:5 promises, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God.” When both pray about the relationship, God’s peace confirms His will.

4. Past Lessons Shape Your Readiness
God uses past heartbreaks, challenges, and personal growth to prepare you. Romans 8:28 reminds us that God works all things together for good. Learning from the past keeps you from repeating mistakes.

5. Mutual Respect and Boundaries Protect the Future
A relationship that honours God from the start values emotional, physical, and spiritual boundaries. 1 Corinthians 10:31 tells us to do everything for His glory. Respect and boundaries now create trust and longevity later.

✅ When your relationship has God’s guidance, shared values, prayer, lessons learned, and respect, it already has the tools to thrive. Remember, success starts before the first date.

I want to be very honest with you today.

I recently posted 3 videos on why many Christian couples shy away from talking about s*x. I expected questions, conversations, and even disagreement. What I didn’t expect was… silence.

Very few people even clicked to watch it.

One friend later told me something that truly shocked me. They said, “The moment I saw the title and the word ‘s*x,’ I just scrolled past it. I didn’t even try to watch.”

That broke my heart.

Because if we can’t even click a video with the word “s*x,” how do we expect to talk about it in marriage? How do we heal struggles we refuse to name? How do we disciple couples in areas we pretend don’t exist?

S*x after marriage is not unholy.
Ignoring it is.

God created it. The Bible talks about it. Yet many believers would rather stay silent, uncomfortable, and struggling than lean into healthy, godly conversations.

Honestly, I’m still in shock. And I don’t know what to do yet.

But I do know this: silence is costing marriages intimacy, understanding, and healing. And pretending this topic doesn’t matter won’t make the issues disappear.

If you scrolled past that video because of the title, I want you to reflect not in shame, but in honesty.

What are we terrified of?

Let’s talk. Let’s heal. Let’s stop letting discomfort win.
