Vegan Hot Cacao recipe.
A nice an warming drink for us in the cold.

240 ml unsweetened almond milk 1 cup
1 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
4 1/2 tsp dairy-free semisweet chocolate chips
Sweetener either 1 Tbsp raw sugar or 1/2 packet powdered stevia per mug
Coconut whipped cream for topping.

Instructions:
1. Add almond milk to a large mug and microwave for 1 minute. If you don't use microwave then add to a saucepan over medium heat.
2. Once milk is warm, add cocoa powder, chocolate and sweetener and whisk to combine.
3. Put back in microwave or continue cooking on stovetop until completely combined and has reached your preferred temperature.
Taste and adjust sweetness as needed.
Stir, and top with coconut whipped cream.

A simple yet healthy and yummy salad

2 x Raw Beetroots Peeled
2 clove of garlic
1 Tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
2 Tbsp Maple Syrup
1 Tbsp walnut Oil

Orange and Basil Glazed Carrots.
A lovely fresh side dish or a snack.

2 tablespoons avocado oil
1 clove garlic
4 cups carrots, sliced
juice of 1 orange
salt and pepper
a handful of basil

1. Heat the oil in a frying pan, add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

2. Add the carrots, orange juice, salt and pepper.

3. Turn the mixture down to a simmer, cover & cook for 10 minutes or until the carrots are done. Add the basil.

Enjoy!

Menopause relief is easier than you think with a few tweaks to your diet. I found recovery from menopausal symptoms only when I finally transformed my diet. While I was mostly vegetarian 10 years ago, I also ate a lot of junk. I am still amazed at how eating junk can affect my hormone swings. Even now, years later, if I eat too much sugar or processed foods, I'll notice hot flashes come on. I now look immediately to diet choices for my menopause relief.

Menopause relief is for men, too
The following video has three tips for menopause relief. In working with both men and women, I've found that many men experience a change in their hormone levels as well.
