In December I attended a couple of life drawing sessions led by the wonderful here in Nicosia. I was, and still am, very rusty and don't want to even think about how long it's been since my last life drawing session before last December...
Family life is always busy, time is never enough, and so I am always grateful whenever I'm able to attend a figure drawing class these days. Hoping to more of this, with the fantastic model Milenko got for us 🙏

Looking forward to this!

Cyprus Animation Association is excited to share our next Keyframe event featuring Chris Drew. Chris will take you through the inspiration you need to not only create a show but to keep on creating it over several series. He will cover the inspiration of Paddington as a character and how that led to the show's development, break down useful storyboard practices for artists and directors alike as well as speak about how to keep a show interesting and fresh not only for the audience but also for the crew if you will be making over 150 episodes.

This event will take place on Saturday 18th of November at 10am at Auditorium Alpha at European University.

BIO:
Chris Drew is an Animation Series Director with over 30 years experience in the animation industry. After leaving art school he began his career as a runner and, over time, has amassed experience in all the departments required to create an animated project. Specialising in storyboarding, he spent fifteen years drawing for both live action and animated productions before moving into directing. To date he has directed the Adventures of Miffy Big and Small. The Bafta nominated series Digby Dragon and the last three series of The Adventure of Paddington which has won an Emmy, an Annie and a BAA.

We're delighted to share that The Olive Bunch has secured co-development funding from Creative Europe 's Media strand! 🙌 Our Cyprus originated, animated series is currently co-developed with Irish majority producer Daily Madness, Cypriot studios Pixelgiants and Prickly Pear Animation, and distributed by Jetpack Distribution.💥 The significance of this kind of support and encouragement for European collaboration is massive for each and every creative in Europe and especially for smaller, developing industries like the one in Cyprus. Last week at Annecy International Animated Film Festival - the biggest and most important event dedicated to animated film on this planet - was phenomenal! We're back home, exhausted and full of inspiration!
