Its been a while for Chengdu to be having a top quality outdoor with diverse energy. I'm honoured to say, after two years (thanks to covid) ill be back on decks at Maya outdoor festival next month. This time I'll be bringing in some Liquid Drum and Bass, Downtempo and Psytrance 🍄👽 feeling super blessed and so excited to finally get back to my roots and boogie it out. A clip of my excitement mixing in one of my favorite darkprog tracks by called Children of the forest in Chengdu for an IDGrooves party. This track is so close to my heart, and gives me goosebumps everytime I've played it. For some reason it just gives me a feeling of home ❤️

So the cats out the bag, myself and Jesse Goodwin have been waiting months for the right moment to announce this exciting news 😁 so, here you go, we present to you SENSORIUM, the duo project of SubCulture and Xanadu 👽👽 Our duo act will be something completely different than our solo aliases which we are so excited for because our love for forest and darkpsy goes beyond that, so we will be dedicating this act to our next favorite genre, Dark Progressive 🖤🖤 we will be showcasing our debut set for the very first time in Chengdu next week at the ID. Grooves party, and we're so excited to get our page links up and running ASAP as we await some final details to be added. We hope to spread this new project all around China, and hopefully showcase it when we're back for a visit in SA ☺️ thank you to everyone who has supported the news so far, we are feeling the love from all over the world. Its with great excitement to announce the official signing of Xanadu to Conscious Records South Africa. I feel super honored to be part of a growing label that has already showed so much potential. Thank you for this exciting opportunity to be apart of the CR family

Today we'd like to officially announce the signing of our 2nd female artist to the CR roster and our first internationally based DJane...

Xanadu aka Xavier Theron from a small town called Grahamstown in South Africa, started her psychedelic adventures in 2006 and has been addicted to the genre since then. She had been inspired musically by her father as a toddler and grew up to love all kinds of music. Attending her first outdoor psytrance party at Wacky Woods she fell in love with the beautiful sounds of psytrance as well as the psychedelic culture it had to offer. After attending a few festivals she fell more in love with psytrance and began making friends with DJ's and producers wanting to learn more about the genre. Together with a close friend they decided to share their love for psytrance and hosted a party which turned out to be a great success and it was then that Xanadu decided to take her love for psytrance even further. She was inspired by Xenogressive who had already been friends for many years, so they took her under their wing and showed her what it takes to become a DJ.

Firstly, she had been exposed to playing at indoor clubs all around in the Eastern Cape, she was then invited to play at her first big outdoor festival which was Earthdance Nelson Mandela Bay. After that she bloomed and was invited to play at some of Eastern Capes biggest outdoor parties such as: Wacky Woods, Earthdance, Hug a Tree, freaky forest, Woody Cape and Tunnels and became a resident DJ for The Modern Primitives.

Currently residing in China, she has had the great opportunity of spreading her love for music around the beautiful country. She was also invited to play at one of Nepals biggest darkpsy parties, Shakti Peak festival 2019.

Her banging tunes will have you shaking your tale feather with a BPM range from 148-155, with groovy darkpsy rolling basslines to the psychedelic sounds of forest.
