MERCY CHINWO BREAKS SILENCE AS SHE WEEPS 😭

THE PRICE WE PAID FOR THE GLORY AND THE ONGOING REVIVAL || BISHOP FRANCIS WALE OKE

In the days when we got born-again in the early 70s, we were few, we were persecuted, we were harassed, we were oppressed and we were called names. The used to call us S.U (Scripture Union) they said we don't do well, they said we were the hewers of wood and the drawers of water. And indeed, at that time, when we looked at the landscape of the nation, there was nobody prominent that was called a Christian, born-again that wanted to identify with us. No!

I can tell you a bit of the history of the Christian faith, God gave me the privilege to be part of the early start, he gave me a headstart from 1974/75. I began to get involved in the revival prayer...around this nation.

Across this nation at that time, there were only two people that we considered prominent who identified as being S.U - I can tell you. Late Bishop Falope in Ilesha, among all the Bishops that time, the Bishops were occultists, they were persecuting us. Because we were speaking in tongues, they were chasing us out of the church because they were one-legged in church and one-legged in the cult. Most of the Bishops and Archbishops that you hear of today, I'm talking of Anglican and all those places, they are our children, we led them to Christ.

We paid the price, they persecuted us, they hounded us and we didn't give up. And now Archbishop, Bishop - they are our children. Perfectedlight. That is the truth, quote me.
Let me make a claim, let me speak like a fool if I can (like Paul), the most senior of them now, are at best our colleagues that we reached out to, and people in that class among them are very, very few.

A lot of them that time were terrible cultists, terrible fornicators, we took the Gospel to them, they chased us out of the church, in my own church, they said "they are speaking in tongues, get them out! They are devils." It was an Archbishop who said that and they chased me out, chased Adeboye out, chased Kumuyi out.

They were chasing the future out but we turned back and began to persecute them with the Gospel, we didn't give up, and now, the revival is spreading to the glory of our God.

Guinness World Records is saddened to learn of the passing of longest ongoing pilgrimage record holder, Arthur Blessitt (USA). Arthur had roamed across all seven continents, including Antarctica, since first setting out on 25 Dec 1969. He carried a 3.7-m-tall (12-ft) wooden cross throughout his pilgrimage and as an evangelist he preached from the Bible along the way. When his record was first confirmed in 2013, Arthur had walked a distance of 40,235 miles (64,752 km), but his journey continued for many years.

"I’ve carried a 12 foot cross in every sovereign nation, major island groups and territories. I have walked with the cross of over 43,340 miles, over 86 million steps..." read a statement from Arthur on his Instagram

"These feet that walked so far on roads of dirt and tar will now be walking on the streets of gold. Ready to see Jesus again!"

Every time you meet a difficulty, every time you find yourself in an impossible situation, ask yourself this question: Am I going to starve here, or am I going to eat? If you are relying on the Lord for victory and allow His overcoming life to be manifested in you, you will find fresh nourishment and increased vitality, and you will be fed once again. Bear in mind that people who do not eat well cannot grow into maturity. Our bread is not only the word of God, our meat is not only to do His will, our bread is also the Anakim — the difficulties that are in our way. Many people take the word of God as their bread and the doing of His will as their meat, but they have not eaten the Anakim. Many eat too little of the Anakim. The more we eat the Anakim, the stronger we will become. Caleb is a grand illustration of this. Because he accepted the Anakim as "bread," he was still full of vitality at the age of eighty-five. His strength was the same at eighty-five as it was at forty. So many Anakim had been assimilated by him over the years that he had developed a constitution which showed no trace of age. This is also true in the spiritual realm. Some brothers and sisters have met few difficulties, but it is obvious that there are many weaknesses in their lives. They are weak before the Lord because they have not consumed enough Anakim. However, there are those who have met and overcome difficulty after difficulty, temptation after temptation; they are full of vigor because they have fed well on Anakim. We have to eat our difficulties and our temptation. Every difficulty and every temptation Satan puts in our way is food for us. This is a God-appointed means of spiritual progress. The sight of any trouble strikes terror into the heart of those who do not have faith, but those who trust Him say, "Here comes my food!" Praise and thank the Lord, all our trials, without exception, are bread for us. Every trial brings in growth after we have eaten of it. As we accept one trial after another, we are more and more richly nourished.

Let us now look into the practical outworking of this. We must not forget that there is a condition attached to God's keeping power. If we do not trust Him, He is unable to keep us. In order to experience His salvation, and in order to have His keeping power, we must believe wholeheartedly in His promises. If after we have overcome, we doubt whether our overcoming experience can be sustained, we are discrediting His keeping power. We must believe in God's keeping power. Every morning when we rise we should say to Him, "God, I thank You for keeping me yesterday, and today You will still keep me. I do not know what temptations may befall me, and I do not know how I can overcome. I cannot do anything; but I believe You will keep me." First Peter 1:5 speaks of being "guarded by the power of God through faith." God guards those who have faith in Him. We do not have to grapple with temptations and try to overcome them; the keeping power of God will get us through, and we must believe in His ability to save us from giving way to sin. If we implicitly rely on Him, even when we are unexpectedly assailed by temptations, an amazing thing will happen. In a way we cannot account for, something will ward off all the fiery darts of the evil one. It is the shield of faith. It will come in between us and Satan, so that his fiery darts cannot reach us. Instead of hurting us they will beat upon the shield of faith and rebound on Satan himself.

When Billy Graham was 92 years-old, he was struggling with Parkinson's disease. In January, a month before his 93rd birthday, leaders in Charlotte, North Carolina, invited their favorite son, Billy Graham to a luncheon in his honor.

Billy initially hesitated to accept the invitation because of his struggles with Parkinson's disease. But the Charlotte leaders said, 'We don't expect a major address. Just come and let us honor you.' So he agreed.

After wonderful things were said about him, Dr. Graham stepped to the podium, looked at the crowd, and said:

"I'm reminded today of Albert Einstein, the great physicist who this month has been honored by Time magazine as the Man of the Century. Einstein was once traveling from Princeton on a train, when the conductor came down the aisle, punching the tickets of every passenger. When he came to Einstein, Einstein reached in his vest pocket. He couldn't find his ticket, so he reached in his trouser pockets.

It wasn't there.He looked in his briefcase but couldn't find it. Then he looked in the seat beside him. He still couldn't find it.

"The conductor said, “Dr. Einstein, I know who you are. We all know who you are. I'm sure you bought a ticket. Don't worry about it.” Einstein nodded appreciatively. The conductor continued down the aisle punching tickets. As he was ready to move to the next car,he turned around and saw the great physicist down on his hands and knees looking under his seat for his ticket.

"The conductor rushed back and said, 'Dr. Einstein, Dr. Einstein, don't worry, I know who you are; no problem. You don't need a ticket. I'm sure you bought one.'Einstein looked at him and said, “Young man, I too, know who I am. What I don't know is where I'm going."

Having said that Billy Graham continued, "See the suit I'm wearing? It's a brand new suit. My children, and my grandchildren are telling me I've gotten a little slovenly in my old age. I used to be a bit more fastidious. So I went out and bought a new suit for this luncheon and one more occasion. You know what that occasion is? This is the suit in which I'll be buried. But when you hear I'm dead, I don't want you to immediately remember the suit I'm wearing. I want you to remember this:

"I not only know who I am. I also know where I'm going." May your troubles be less, your blessings more, and may nothing but happiness, come through your door. "Life without God is like an unsharpened pencil - it has no point."

May each of us have lived our lives so that when our ticket is punched we don't have to worry about where we are going.

Pastor David Anyomi the General Overseer of the Calvary Impact Ministries and I were privileged to partner His Eminence The Archbishop in this outreach program of spreading the Love Of Christ to the children in and around Ashiaman. The program was held at the Calvary Impact Ministries. The Archbishop was represented by Bishop Essandoh.
