I'm not a witch but I mentioned just after the burial of Amb. Paddy Ahenda that if Raila want the Presidency, then he MUST desist from local politics in Nyanza and allow voters to decide on whom they want to lead them otherwise he was to just succeed in one but was greatly ignored. He insisted that Orengo, Nyong'o, Wanga, Ochillo, Arati, be the governors and today, all the above are Governors plus so many MPs, MCAs, WRs, Senators with few votes and others even got more than what Raila got like in Homabay. They told us that we must elect these people so that they can help Raila win Presidency. Today, Governors have been sworn in, MPs loading and Raila permanently disengaged in politics.
It's people like Wuodnyakobiero who have Raila at heart and not his political friends like Ochieng'of Ugenya. Raila has previously lost elections and kept in the political cold, but all his hangers enjoying political power and mileage from his backyard simply because he never learnt from the past mistakes, never accepted positive advice from nobody's like me and you but political cronies.
I believe in the aspirations of Raila Odinga, but I hesitate to believe in his ability to know who is genuine and who is not genuine to him. For several decades, Raila has been in politics with ups and downs but I say, it's time to be contented with what he has achieved and let fresh breath of young and new generation take over and lead this great region to economic, social, political and spiritual prosperity. We must re-write our chapters as Luo nation.
Agwambo wuod Nyalego, the enigma, we loved you, but the Kikuyus, Kalenjins and Bukusu's hated you more, continue resting in political peace as you advise from the background.
We must thrive to remain relevant as a community. It's time we pull back, let them decide, let them do, let them mess, let them prosper, let them eat and remain calm until others will see what we have been seeing than being praised as good opposition men and women, a position which do not exist in our constitution. Enigma, you have fought this fight, you have both won and lost races, you have finished your race, may political glory be with you to eternity, maybe you will be a 'President' in heaven.
We must move on.
