'The micromodels have been fabricated by using a micro-stereolithography 3D printer with acrylate-based resins. With a high printing resolution of up to 2 μm, these micromodels successfully mimic the complex pore-throat features of natural porous media (i.e. rocks) based on their thin-section or micro-CT images.' Naturally derived polymer systems are frequently used to study cells in 3D. Due to the complexity of the structure, there is a demand for well-defined 3D scaffolds to systematically investigate cell behavior in 3D. This is a buckyball-like structure that we printed for our customer for cells research usage in biomedical field. The diameter of the beam is only 10μm. It was printed by our S130 3D printer with the optical resolution of 2μm.

Make-up pen core is our newly developed area in cosmetic 3D printing. We can print these complex structures including thin wall, mini groove, screw threads etc with the resolution of 10μm and it is one-time forming. The wall thickness is between 0.2mm - 0.4mm and the spacing is 0.3mm.

‘Another interesting application is 4D printing, that is, the printed 3D structures are able to actively transform shapes over time in response to environmental stimuli. An Eiffel Tower smaller than a coin was firstly printed. And the bent shape was achieved by bending the tower at a high temperature, then fixed it and cool down. This is the capability demonstration part that we print for our customers to showcase our amazing technology. The cylinders' diameter inside are ranging from 500 μm to 50 μm. Micro tubes, channels and pillars were fabricated at the same time without any post-processing. In addition, 6 pieces can be printed within 4 hours.

Mechanical meta material is a kind of material with ultra-light weight and ultra-high strength. These excellent properties benefit from its lattice structure. As shown in the picture, the lattice structure is really complex and impossible for traditional 2D fabrication technology. However, BMF's projection micro 3D printing technique could print this structure easily with high printing resolution.
