December 13 is the National Memorial Day and the anniversary of the Nanjing Massacre, which occurred in 1937. Zhang Yubiao from Nanjing University of the Arts paints the Zijin Grass, a symbol of hope. Of the 50 survivors he once portrayed, 48 have passed away. Today, only 32 registered survivors remain, serving as a solemn reminder to honor their legacy and hope for everlasting peace.
